I reacted to BLACKSWAN a few years ago. I didn’t care for them as a group honestly, but I did tap into Fatou’s solo music. She’s extremely talented. As a black woman I relate so much to her having to always apologize for nothing. We get viewed as the aggressor solely because of our skin color. When the whole time it’s the other way around. When we finally snap after being provoked for so long, we become the problem. It’s mad crazy, but we’re used to it. Now with that asshole in the White House there’s no telling what will happen now. Things like this might become normal. Setting us back literally. 😔 Stay strong Fatou. It’s tough out here, but you’re tougher. We’re tougher. 🖤
