Now heavily regulated and sanction by the newly formed goverment, O'hare company seen its profit decreases, maintaining the costly air purifing plants (ironic) became impossbile, forcing them to reduce its scope and despite branching off into other energy/manufacturing sector O'hare eventually went bankrupted and had to close all its instalatations. And like that (in one single year) Thneedville had lost its government, main investor, quality of life and main air supplier all because an horny teenager wanted to impress some politically confused girl who is so naive/stupid she would have 100% bough a thneed And two hundred years later, the air became.. passable
