I’m wondering if I would be a valid candidate for the cosmelan treatment. I’m 35, and got diagnosed with the metabolic subtype of PCOS at age 24. I had a chemical peel done and the technician was rubbing the product on my intimate area, left it on a few minutes and then came back to tap on the area with the gloves and now it was sticky she tapped everywhere sticky sticky and then she cleaned it off It’s now 2 weeks since and I feel it looks darker than how I had it. My question is, if it’s supposed to be rubbed on? Because isn’t the dark pigmentation due to rubbing? And the technician rubbing it more would cause even darker skin there wouldn’t it? Do NOT Recommend Cosmelan at All Summary: My 6-month Cosmelan treatment was extremely expensive, costing over $2.000 dollars but I was hopeful it would improve my skin. Throughout this time, I followed all instructions closely and minimized sun exposure to almost zero, as it was winter where I live, and I work in an office. When I went outside, I always wore sunscreen and applied zinc for extra protection, carefully shielding my face from the sun. Despite these precautions, I experienced severe redness, itching, and peeling, which kept me from social activities for months. By the fifth month, I saw some improvement, with pigmentation reduced by about 70%. However, just a week after finishing the treatment, the pigmentation returned noticeably, leaving me extremely disappointed. Given the high cost, long recovery, and strict daily regimen, I can’t recommend Cosmelan. It kept my skin red and sensitive the entire time, and all my efforts to avoid the sun didn’t prevent the melasma from coming back. Hope that helps 🙌

One thing I’ve noticed is that when I have my laser after my period my pain tolerance is low due to hormones. So id recommitted taking sessions 1-2 weeks after your period.
