Smith Family Singers

Our singing videos began in 2010, when we decided to record a Christmas carol we had sung together at church. Our oldest daughter was six, the second was four, and our son had just turned two. We sent the video to our our family and friends as a Christmas greeting, and suddenly a new tradition was born. Since then, we grew by one more daughter, and we have recorded a Christmas music video every year, as well as other sings or hymns.

If you have never heard the story behind this beloved hymn, look it up. Hugh Bonneville narrated it at the Tabernacle Choir's Christmas concert in 2018. It is full of heartbreak and hope. And as many suffer heartbreak daily, hope in Christ is what we hold fast to.
Our family sang this today in church. Sadly, we are missing Sami, who is already at college for the Fall. But I'm thankful we could sing with Allie before she leaves for college tomorrow.
