This is actually one of the less impressive songs on her debut album -- and it's still a pretty good song; terrific album!
I never got this CD from a regular store when it came out I’ve always wanted it but several years ago I found it at a Goodwill store and got it then and it’s a wonderful album this country station I used to listen to the syndicated broadcast called America’s best country did an album review on Saturday nightsand this was one of them what a great singer I wish she had had more popular hits on the radio considering she had a few albums out😊
What I find amazing, this great voice waited until it was 37 years old before it decided to go make a record. I listen to the albums regularly. Now in her sixties, still a great voice. 😊
Great songwriter. Excellent voice. WTF?
How have I never heard of this woman until now?
She’s just so unique, nobody comes close in her style, voice, composition. Saw her at The Tin Angel in Philadelphia back in the mid 90’s, front center stage, so approachable, she came out and mingled with the crowd, talked with her, such great memories! Thank you Kim for all your powerful music.
Remember listening to this heading out of Wellsboro Pa. back when it came out, got to see Kim in concert later that year, still love everything she did and does, back when Country actually was great, there is hope, some new artists out there are keeping the tradition alive.
15 years ago Wow. I love Kim Richey. She got lost in the crowd. How the heckin did that happen? 2024 here. Listening to Kim Richey today.
This is a slow burner....love it!
Buffy series 1 brought me wandering here and I’m glad it did
I like Trisha Yearwood version too
Kim really sounds great on this track! I like everything about this song ⭐⭐⭐⭐🎸🎶🎵
I had gotten a cd years ago because it had Cain's Blood by 4Runner on it(I heard they were s---wed over, that song was great) and played this one over &over& over.. Still is great.Compilation cd called New Country if case you were wondering.
I feel lucky to have Kim in my music library and thanks to Bill Bucheister for putting her there
Got this CD almost 30 years ago. Trisha? Nope original better. Sorry. Truth.
What a great song, Kim!
I discovered her music by accident at a Barnes & Noble store when they provided earphones to sample music. I had never heard of her but bought the CD this song was on and I became a huge fan of her music.
I love singing to this song!
Amo ❤❤❤
One of my favorite artists and albums in the mid 90's. STILL AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It doesn't get much better than this!!
25 years later, Still love this song. And Kim. She's an amazing, underappreciated writer and artist. Her voice is amazing.
Love this CD. My youngest, now 42 and I always listened to her music.
You belive may i think was of the Shanaya twin, i read his to first then in 1997, i quest for this music to all this years
How d'jangly can you get!?
Saw Kim in Bury St Edmunds a couple of months ago. She was absolutely brilliant. Listened to her continually ever since. Fantastic.
A timeless tune. It still resonates.
Who else is bumping this awesome country song from 1995 in 2023?!
WORD!!
Retrospection is a powerful creative lense.
Let's petend that Kim's young again. Can she be a big star this time?
If you write a song that works, it keeps working.
I found your work a few years ago, and you are one of my favorites. I wish you would come near North Georgia..... Going to share this with a friend in Pittsburgh, hoping she and her boyfriend attend! Thanks for the tunes...
I see that you DID come to Georgia and SC... Dang... I am so sorry I missed this....
Still as fantastic as when it came out in 1995 when I was a kid!
2023 and this song is still the bomb since it came it in 1995 when I was a kid!
Saw an interview with Kenny Vaughan (Otis Gibbs interview) and he said that the whole time he worked with Kim Richey she never sang one false note. Of course her music speaks for itself but still.
AMAZING!!!! Thank you!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It's criminal how she isn't mainstream!!!
Hi! KIM. how are you? This is my favorite song..
I have a thousand cd but I all we now were her first one is one of my favorite.
Trisha Yearwood covered this song. On her 1995 Thinking About You Album. I'd love to hear Gary Allan cover this song sometime. It would be great.
GREAT SONGWRITER & ARTIST! She should have saved this song for her #1 hit instead of giving it to Trisha Yearwood first! GREAT SONG and can be made into an awesome rock song, when roughed up a bit! Awesome groove when done “Live”!! Very fun to sing!
incredible
Full band show coming up July 23 at Space near Chicago. Great venue!
This version KILLS Trisha Yearwood's version. It's so much grittier. This is real.
I've had her '95 debut CD playing in my car stereo for weeks now. Sounds better with each passing year. Great production by guitarist Richard Bennett.
Legendary guitarist Richard Bennett (Neil Diamond, Mark Knopfler) produced this song and Kim's brilliant debut album from 1995. The album sounds better with each passing year.
The host of coast to coast said you should be a star
I was driving around the perimeter of a prison listening to this on graveyard shift .. it helped my night
Heard on coast to coast am radio ... amazing song
This song seems like it was custom made to take me back to the summer of ‘81 when I found my soul mate, David. Sadly, I was not his, so all I have are sweet memories.
