The 860 is better in speed and screwing power. 💪The 870 is only slightly quieter, otherwise it has similar parameters to the 850.

The motor is shorter but a little wider than the previous version and probably has a higher number of strokes per minute. There is also a differently located fan cooler at the back of the motor, which has a much higher power than the older version where it is located in front of the motor. Now there are two more new versions, one maxi fast DCF860 and another DCF870 is heavier but about as powerful as the one in the video DCF850.

The smaller one has more impacts per minute and while it's smaller, they managed to squeeze the same amount of torque. So you have the same force being applied, but more times, therefore it drives screws faster.

The wider diameter on the hammer assembly helps it a lot

It depends on how porous its surface is. This suction cup, if the surface is more porous, the pump does not stop in it and sucks continuously. But the lifting capacity is definitely limited by this. That would have to be tested.

I don't use self-drilling screws everywhere because they slide off when tilted, and in the video I explicitly say that magnets are expensive and if you don't need them to install ceilings (for which they are intended), then you should use magnets for welders, which are significantly cheaper.

​@drywall-skills that's not how impact drivers work. That's how a gearbox selector works on a drill. Speed selectors on impact drivers determine the amount of power being sent to the motor so speed 3 is faster and makes more torque than speed 2. Where as on a drill you trade power for speed when selecting modes.
