My hair is about your length and gray, but I love the color of your hair, it is so pretty. I used cut my own hair, just the ponytail thing and saw it with craft shears. But now I have my husband trim my hair for me and he also will do French, Dutch and fishtail braids for me as well. Your hair would great in different braids. It is sad that so many women are afraid to go gray and if they do they get a frumpy short guy’s haircut.

He is an average to below average stylist with a great personality, which is why people love him. But there are so many more talented stylists with tutorials. Your hair looks fine. First off you are a very beautiful lady and you did a fantastic job. I did here for 42 years and my grandpa was a barber for 62 and I have all of his years and he kept hers his in a leather pouch and I have his first clippers, the very first walls and oars that were made, and I walk past the little treasure box I keep them in and I just get chills that stand up on my arm in the back of my neck and I know the sentiment that you have for your dad‘s leather belt pouch that he created that was absolutely gorgeousbut I just wanted to tell you that and you keep hanging onto those things and you did a beautiful job with your hair and please keep us posted on what you’re gonna do next thank you for sharing this with us. It was awesome.❤

Curly hair should not be de-frizzed because it will frizz more. I know this because I have been a hairdresser for many years.

@MAKUstudio If you have problems with curly hair, it is certainly not moisturized enough, use good cosmetics only for curly hair, do not sleep with wet hair and do not comb it when it is dry.Comb them out when you wash them, when you have conditioner on your hair. And it's best to dry them using a diffuser. :)

You need some good moisture masks. You should use it at least once a week and you need some good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. They do sell some for gray hair and or purple shampoo if you're dying it purple.

@ yes I do my own too. It's too expensive to go get it done and nowadays, nobody can cut hair anyways so if you mess it up then you can only get mad at yourself lol. It's hair grow back as you get older. You don't care and you're not as anal. I guess I don't know that's just me. I'm 45 and my hair is starting to turn gray. I will be 46 in January. I think the gray silver is so pretty. I have been going back-and-forth with dying it Nothing dark it's just the transition stage as it starts to grow in can be kind of annoying. It's really hit or miss with products. You just have to try and see what works with your hair type but you definitely need something for moisturizing and frizz same as myself and they do have shampoos and conditioners out there even from cheaper brand such as Dove for aging hair and some other ones, but I don't know if the top of my head. Definitely do a mask once or twice a week. It's just whatever works for you not everything works for everybody's hair type. Good luck.

I was scared for you! Your hair was beautiful before. But I get the pain of long hair. I cut mine and regretted it ever since. Now, I can't grow it long again. My once thick long beautiful hair has thinned over the years. I love the out come of your hair. It's gorgeous 😍

Im not Brad, but i am a hair professional and it was scary to but waych when you took the pony tails put and cut free hand. Also, I would never use a tbining shere on long curly hair. Curly hair is however forgiving and the end result looked nice. I especially liked the color. Many blessings to you with Aloha. 🙏

Mak, you really are such a brave girl...and a lovely one as well! It looks great, and the purple is so FUN! I have both purple & "mauve" in the closet right now...but I haven't colored mine in ages...you may have just inspired me! 😊 I've been cutting & coloring my own for decades...but mine hasn't been long since I was much, much younger. Yours is so thick & suits you so well. I'm just too old & lazy to deal with long hair anymore...and sadly, mine is really starting to thin on top. 😲 Anyhoo, great job & thanks for sharing!
