    I have had a couple of these helmets now... to be honest, I don't like the headgear, I find it too flexible and uncomfortable over a long period of wear. Also the plastic in the adjuster is weak and wears out too soon, so expect to have to buy new headgear sooner than you thought. The X mode is handy, especially if you are working in a tighter space where the light sensors might turn the lens off, if you are a bit off angle. Also, if you are in a busy shop and you are tacking parts together, X mode, keeps your lens from turning on as you are trying to line some pieces up, from a stray arc from across the shop. Also, the latest one I have was bought 2 years ago, and it still has the exterior lens release.

    Midlift is better because for heavy loads it’s easier to get around a corner

    i know what it does my dad has one he told me if you have heavy stuff to load up you put the axles down but if you have lightweight like you finished you put the axles up again

    Thinking of getting a tag lift for my actros. What button do I press to lift or lower the axle? Plus the tank capacity doesnt seem to change on the merc just adds length to the chassy. And does it effect power and fuel consumption? Its great on fuel dont wanna spoil it

    I'll never understand why people buy the most expensive stuff when the inexpensive is just as good, $300-$500 just for a name haha. I have the Antra AH7 X80 digital and it's the exact same as this Miller. 4 sensors, grind mode, 1/25,000sec, viewings 98x62mm ect and its digital it's just 3X lower in price. Just my opinion

      Sometimes, it comes down to availability of consumables, like clear lenses, every shop I worked at stocks the clears for the millers, and depending on what I was welding I'd go through a clear a day, at the least every 3 days. Everybody I know that has a cheaper helmet, eventually comes up against the same problem... sooner or later they can't get clears anymore.

    Everything you showed up until the end made me think mid lift was the best choice, and then you just said "I highly recommend taglift over midlift". Did I miss something? Why? You have a shorter turn radius but only without a load? With a load you clearly need to put the tag down. Atleaset the midlift has the turning assistance from the mid tires?

    • @spiker84
      @spiker84 7 лет назад

      The midlift seems to be better if you constantly run with heavy loads since the wheelbase is longer to begin with. in theory it's better with heavy loads at high speeds, but I haven't had the opportunity to play around with it much. I preferred the tag lift because it's quite easy to reverse into tight spots with the lift axle up. Given I prefer a higher fuel tank capacity and that I was already using the 6x4, I preferred the taglift. That said, I haven't played ETS 2 in a long time, so there may be some factors that would make the midlift more of an advantage now.

    Where'd you get that trailer? What's the mod name for the trailer? oh and btw I would recommend lowering that rear lift axle on any load heavy or light.

    Alright, so what are the main benefits to buying a midlift or a taglift? Why should i buy these lifts instead of just buying a normal 6x2 or 6x4?

    • @IanSumallo
      @IanSumallo 8 лет назад

      +Games Cooky I'm not so sure about Midlift, but I can tell you that taglift allows you to turn very tightly. From this video (/watch?v=WDuSkXoDx5I), you could see that the taglift has the best turning radius in the game with both wheels down. When you lift the rear axle, your turn becomes even tighter. Visually, you'd notice immediately that the distance between the front wheel and the powered wheel of a 6x2 taglift is even shorter than that of a 4x2. I'd even go as far as say that you effectively turn your truck into a car in terms of agility with the taglift's rear axle up. City driving will be a lot easier with the taglift's agility. I won't suggest lifting the rear axle of a taglift while pulling load though for reasons shown on this video already. Even then the taglift with its axle down turns better than any other chassis still though. All in all, choose 6x4 if you want better power to weight ratio to allow better speed, acceleration, and stability while sacrificing turning capabilities; Choose 6x2 taglift if you want to give your truck better turning, and save on tire repairs when your rear axle is lifted up.

      @GamesCooky 8 лет назад

      Ian Sumallo I do learn some of this at school. From what i understood, it's the weight distribution that is the main thing. You can pull loads with the axle lifted, but only light load. So if you raise the axle on light loads you'll also save money on tires (truck tires are very expensive in real life). So idk, i just tend to raise the wheels on all loads under 10 tons, and the lower them if it gets above. I really don't know about the mid lift though :P Idk, there's a lot to this though

    • @nicholaslau3194
      @nicholaslau3194 8 лет назад

      +Games Cooky 6x4 Best stability, weight distribution, and traction (rear), sacrifices rear tires. 6x2 Same stability, weight distribution as 6x4, less traction(rear). 6x2/4 Same as 6x2, but more turning traction and little less tire wear. 6x2/4 Midlift / 6x2 Taglift: Liftable axles lift tires off the ground, reducing wear. Main difference between Midlift and Taglift is the usage For Midlift, you can choose to lift or not when pulling trailers or not pulling anything. You do not lose much stability or decrease turning radius by lifting axle. For Taglift, you can realistically only lift when not pulling anything, but you significantly reduce turning radius, and the vehicle becomes very unstable at high speeds. In conclusion, Taglift is not recommended if you take jobs frequently, but it would help in turning if you use ETS as a driving simulator. Another thing is that you have to look at the chassis itself. I believe the MAN TGX taglift chassis is longer than the midlift chassis, so you may not gain turning radius from it.

    Do u know anything of the trucks, in real life ? When u have heavy load then u can't hold your taglift up . That means that taglift is anyway better than midlift :D

  • @lawd2t12belfast
    @lawd2t12belfast 9 лет назад

    You only have one drive axle with the tag so 6x4 is better for heavy haulage if the lorries constantly under a lot of weight. The lift axles just save on tyre wear

    • @IanSumallo
      @IanSumallo 8 лет назад

      +Jack Lennon Correction. Tag lift axles allow you to save on tire wear, and also turn better. In fact, with a tag lift, you'd have the best turning radius in game.
