Welcome to Pathagonia! Our channel is dedicated to bringing you easy-to-understand information about the inner workings of your body! We love understanding and teaching the “why” of disease, as this is what Pathology is at its core. We are like cellular engineers in a way: once we understand the physiology, molecular, and normal pathways of the body, we can study them when they go wrong.
Our aim is to make pathology accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or prior knowledge. We believe that understanding the basics of pathology can empower individuals to make informed decisions about their own and their patients’ health.
Our videos cover a wide range of topics, from the structure and function of different organs to the various diseases that can affect them.
So if you're interested in learning more about how your body works and the diseases that can affect it, subscribe to Pathagonia today and join our community of curious and informed individuals!

What would possibly cause endometrial tumors to spread? And grow outside attaching to muscles? (You can feel them right under the skin or protuding from the skin)
Any tumor that invades through the lymph nodes or blood vessels has potential to spread elsewhere throughout the body (what is known as metastasis).
@Pathagonia is there another medical term for disordered proliferative endometrium? I'm trying to get an understanding of that also? Is it something everyone eventually gets? Breaking down a biopsy report..
Hello Sir❤
Hello Waelfadallah. Great to hear from you!

Thank you! Sir, how to distinguish between p53 mutant versus wild-type on immunohistochemistry slide?
Mutant p53: Either strong, diffuse staining or no staining (null). Wildtype p53: Weak, patchy, or focal nuclear staining.
@@Pathagonia that makes a lot of sense, since one would think that in cases of a mutant gene you should expect no staining but in reality gene mutation may result in defective gene product that would stain equally well as opposed to their fully functioning counterparts. Thank you 😊
🎉🎉🎉
Thanks. Can I have the slides ppt?
You can freely access them: schaberg.faculty.ucdavis.edu. :)
Hi Sir! I appreciate your effort in sharing your knowledge with the rest of the world. Your lessons are truly instructive and one learn a lot from them. And of course, thanks a lot to Dr Kurts I am a pathology resident in Spain and I would like to improve my pathology presentations. A few days ago I gave my first presentation in front of a microscope, and the truth is that it is more difficult than I thought. I had planned to present three cases to the rest of the staff in my department, but in the end I could only present one because it took me a long time. I made mistakes like showing all the immunohistochemical techniques instead of listing them, for example. But the truth is that nobody taught me how to do it. In my department, residents are self-taught. Do you know of any source of information where teach how to make an adequate pathology presentation (nos only in front of the microscope, but in presentations devices like powerpoint as well)? Or is it more a question of "learning from others"? Thank you very much
Thank you for your comment. I am no expert in presenting cases. I get very nervous showing cases in my department and at tumor boards. But some simple principles that help me feel more relaxed are: 1. Practice showing the case to colleagues and talking about it before presenting it. 2. Keep your presentation simple and stick to a format that you decided before hand, such as patient history, gross findings, microscopic description, IHC, and final diagnosis. 3. Short and sweet presentations are always more engaging in my opinion. 4. Also I find going over talking points and teaching points while people are looking in the scopes to be more engaging than just talking at your colleagues. Give them something to look at while you teach. 5. Lastly try to relax and have fun. You know more about the case most likely since it was your case. I get quite anxious myself, but practice, and gaining experience makes each presentation a little easier. I hope this helps, keep me posted!
I like this video. Will you ever show your face? Would love to see who is talking :)
Stay tuned for more content. I anticipate interviews, discussions, and guest lectures in the future as we grow the channel (which may include our faces). We are grateful for your kind words and support. 🙂
Another amazing video 😃 Please keep them coming 🙏
Thank you so much, will do! I’ll be traveling this weekend but next week I’ll post more.

Well compacted video 👍 Sir, i'm not sure if you noticed but at the end, the video abruptly stopped when discussing grading of SCC. Do you consider a follow-up?
