Ron did the best he could with what he had.... with the rampant toxicity that festered in Washington under Dan Snyder's 20+ years, it got to the point where no one gave a shit anymore and the players knew they weren't going to be winning anytime soon with how things were being managed from the ownership down.... Yes, I give Ron credit for 'holding things together' thru the ownership transition, but I think Ron would be best utilized as a Defensive Coordinator, not a head coach. Right now, I am just going to allow myself to be grateful for the fresh breath of life that this NEW 'regime' has brought back to the DMV! As a fan who has remained loyal to this team since I was a 4 year old toddler, I still remember the magical feeling of watching my first Super Bowl in Jan 1983 (SB XVII - Washington beat Miami 27 - 17 - and winning the franchise's first SB!) I watched it with my dad, my older brother, and my uncle (who was a die hard 'Skins fan) And watched as Riggo ran roughshod all over Miami's Defense! I remember the magic of Super Bowl XXII when Doug Williams and 'The Posse' came back from a 10 - 0 deficit to put up 42 unanswered points on the John Elway lead Broncos, thus winning their 2nd Lombardi Trophy! And of course, who could forget Super Bowl XXVI when the 14 - 2 (1991 Redskins) put a beat down on Jim Kelly and the Buffalo Bills 37 - 24? I was in 9th grade in 1991... Then the magic faded when Joe Gibbs left to focus on NASCAR, and then Jack Kent Cooke passed away in 1997 and his son couldn't hold on to the franchise and then Dan Snyder bought the team in 1999 for $800 million, but from 1999 until 2023 Snyder literally nearly ran this franchise into the ground. Washington fans were mocked, laughed at, emotionally distressed, and many fans even abandoned their loyalty! Not I. Even through the depressing 'Dan Snyder' era, I held on to hope that one day, something would change and that once again, Washington would have a team that its fans could be PROUD OF! When I heard that Josh Harris (Harris Group) had purchased the franchise (for a whopping $6 billion!) I was overcome with a sense of relief and joy and a renewed passion for my team! Along comes Adam Peters, Lance Newmark, and an entirely fresh Front Office... my heart starts racing with excitement as I see the pieces come together within this franchise... They hire Dan Quinn as head coach (well regarded for his resume) Joe Whitt, Jr., as DC and then call in Kliff Kingsbury as the OC! Once I saw the mastery that was displayed in Free Agency and then the Draft? Wow. I'm still in shock! When my team won 40 - 7 last Sunday (with their #2 QB) *regardless of the fact it was Carolina, I found that I was pinching myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming! I am so grateful that my patience and loyalty has been rewarded with this completely 'new' and freshly rejuvenated franchise! To see my team's defense improve week after week, to see the way the team is playing with heart and soul and with purpose, makes me so happy! I don't care what the 'haters' have to say or what they think, but all I know is that 'My Squad' these Washington Commanders - can play with the best of the NFL. We finally have a real team! Giving Ron Rivera kudos for NFC East Champions is funny. That year NFC E was a division wide dumpster fire where every team seemed to be playing for the draft pick bowl. Washington won the one and done bowl. I have a (free) NFC E Champs hat from that year but will not wear it until deserved. Philly and Dallas are showing DF tendencies but we're not on the podium until after some head to head competition.

We have a real gem with the Harris Group rebirth of Football in Washington. When The Harris Group purchased Washington a "knowledgeable" fan stated they only know Ice Hockey and should stay out of American Football. When The Harris Group invested in Ice Hockey they were not experts in the sport and are not today, same goes for Football. The successful franchise owners have a keen interest in sports, have friends and connections to experts in the sport and when the team does well their investment is lucrative, it makes money and generates fame. All owners theoretically have the final say but the good ones limit their actions to building the best front office and game time in the owners box.

I'm sorry but Daniel needs a stern talking to regarding him running with the ball, he's just not being sensible , he should have gone right and used the sideline as his friend giving him the chance to go out of bounds but sorry he got greedy and it could have been worse, the same as the week before when he went on a keeper from the 10 yard line but instead of keeping his head up to see alternatives he was tackled with force when he had a wide open team nate to his right for a touchdown , if he doesn't learn from this it could seriously hurt his career
