Its odd how Sharon Hill has a dedicated station yet the Media line just ends in the middle of the road.
So depressing seeing this I have been going there almost my entire childhood

As a Media resident, we definitely love the trolley around here. It's even in the town's iconography! It is a really nice route to ride, though there are a few bottlenecks along the way that should see updates, at least I hope. It will definitely look a bit different in a few years when the new Alstom trolleys arrive, but I get the feeling that it will be in a very positive way.

Great views from some interesting angles. It would have been helpful for those of us from out of town to have narration or captions indicating specific locations. Some tracks are in the street, while some are in a private ROW. It's interesting that these cars have pantographs, while the subway/surface lines have trolley poles.

The horns you hear if they were on CTA'S SKOKIE SWIFT LINE the residents living by the tracks would be really freaking out if they heard those every 8 minutes. Those horns if they were on all the L cars would draw endless complaints especially at street grade crossings near residents.
@kylesheaff77779: Yes definitely! There's the MARKET -FRANKFORT L-SUBWAY, THE BROAD STREET SUBWAY, and an L-Subway Line between Philadelphia and Camden New Jersey.
Does Philly still have a Subway
They have 3 types of transit like a subway broad street line market Frankfort el and city trolley k car routes 10-11-13-36-34
Also patco to and from New Jersey.

I’ve rode on the route 102 trolley yesterday
That’s one of my favorite trolley routes
This looks like a really fun trolley to ride. I sure like the horns on this trolley. If the CTA put these horns on the Skokie Swift L trains the residents living by the Skokie Swift would be complaining endlessly and freaking out especially if they heard these horns every 8 or 10 minutes.
Yes going to do a full ride on the 101 ti 69th street love my Kawasakis been riding them to media for 15 years sence I was 5

Lol actually the trolley stoped because It was waiting for the outbound trolley from Sharon hill because after north street it’s single track the rest of way to Sharon hill
@@jcwnetwork5548 I think they should double track the rest of the line beyond North Street so that service can be speeded up and more trolleys scheduled.

@@jcwnetwork5548 Very likely! Let's hope the trolley modernization includes complete double tracking of the Sharon Hill and Media Lines. More trolleys could be scheduled in both directions.
This should of never been allowed to happen at exton mall it's so sad I really do hope they have a come back again I prefer that mall over king of Prussia any day

I don't know what your point in this video was, but the next time you video something you may want to do something about all the WIND noise that is effecting you video. It is hard to understand you at times because of the wind.

@@jcwnetwork5548 Eventually it will be absolutely necessary! Trolley service could be even faster and more trolleys could be scheduled to run more frequently.

I cant believe they actually still have stores open. Lowes sells craftsman tools now. I will say, as a kid, goin to the mall, we always entered at sears. I loved walkin thru that store, especially into the tool area. Tons of memories!! Once the king of retail, now just a forgotten treasure.

@@albertcarello619 The only times, that I rode it all the way to Media, were the times I got called for jury duty.
@@lisaheisey6168 When I got called for jury duty in Chicago I always rode the train downtown. It's the METRA RAIL. I sure wish it would be electric like all the passenger railroads in Philadelphia. It's smelly diesel.
@@lisaheisey6168 Getting called for jury duty is like being inducted into the Army or other Military Service by the Draft. Even people around 100 years old are called to Jury duty which is barbaric.

Sam Sitar: I think the 101 Line can use further extensions. It's such a popular line and fun to ride.
Sam Sitar: I think even further. It's a really great means of transportation. With gasoline prices most likely to head up again and worsening 24-7 traffic in the Philly Area I certainly see a need for more extensions and upgrading to double tracking entirely.
@ SamSitar: I agree and even be extended further. They should also completely double track the entire line. They would have to maybe widen State Street to accommodate a second track the only possible hitch.

Both routes (101 and 102) stop at Fairfield Avenue. IINM it's actually the stop RIGHT BEFORE 69th Street, if you're en route to 69th Street that is.

I worked at my Sears store in Abilene for eighteen years. If you were there at my store, I wouldn't have cared! We were going to close anyway!
