Really nice evening session that. Chilled. JDxi is Roland’s dirty secret. A beast of a synth hidden behind a plasticky exterior. Bought mine just on the drum sets alone! Mind you. Roland crippled this by leaving out any form of pattern chaining or song mode. It could have quite easily been addressed by a firmware update but they refused to acknowledge it. Imagine if they had! These would be worth double on 2nd hand market, despite them mostly holding their value. I have 2! Got myself a ltd ed white one and the original for lugging around. I am aware jdxi is capable of so much more! I mean, it can act as a USB soundcard, a guitar synth and lord knows what else! Really wish Roland would just update it with pattern chaining😑

@@thebmxband1t i had patter chining in Electribe 2S but i would trade it for JDXi every day of the week! Also white JDXi rocks! Also USB was always Roland strength.... not sure why Korg was so lagging behind!

Hi, Thank you for your comment! I used only delay and reveb of JD-Xi. Tones are Analog Poly4 filtered by PKG filter for CH1, 106 Bass 3 for CH2, and Reer1 for Analog CH. Drumset was modified EDM kit. cheers👍

Try changing the A49 transmit channels. Basically the JDXI has these hardwired midi channels per instrument part. Ch1: digital synth 1 Ch2: digital synth 2 Ch3: Analog / mono synth Ch10: drum kit I think also check the jdxi is set to omni? I think thats right, or its the other setting so it can receive on seperate channels individually not one channel all at same time. Then to play the respective part from your A49, just change its midi transmit channel to 1, 2, 3 or 10. Strangely the jdxi also has a ‘global’ midi channel that can be 1-16 to transmit and receive sysex and bank settings. I think if you’re dumping sysex or transmitting bank changes from the jdxi to your DAW or midi sequencer you can set a channel other than the hardwired ones. But ive not played with that. In theory that should work. 😮
