@@ambientgamescape Ya I tried so many ways myself but for the shape what you did is good enough, so not you being a bad roofer it's more cause of the shape and yes love rebuilding your cottage, not near done it other than the shell of the cottage and the 2 little bayish windows on second floor I did both sides stick out and widen the roof for the front door to do so and looks a lot better. For spot under the stairs where you put the washer in I may put basement in or something haven't decided yet. But when I'm done with it I will put it on mod io and will be crediting you as the original builder just in my version and edit and what not. So far you are my 3rd favorite to watch for great builds and creative invention and decorator.

@@ambientgamescape Now that I'm done work for 3 days gonna try to get it done, pending what all I add onto it, I really got to figure out on doing rooves over the bayed windows and heck I may put deck on one of them if too complicated lol who knows.

I do watch Book-ish on here too as I love way she decorates and now that she has better herself in building as she is doing a German based village and looks amazing so far. I just subbed you today and this my second watch of you building this cottage and I'm loving it so far.

@@ambientgamescape Ya go for it, I wasn't finished with the decorating due to lacking furniture and what not. Book-ish did 2 videos of the Amityville build so far, but right now she's doing the German village and pretty much the whole wooded lot is full of buildings and think she says she crashed the game today, not sure on the build or the update. Yes I have certain HF2 players that I watch Book-ish, Renovate, few others and now you, I like seeing different builds and ideas from others and I try to do the same when I see a struggle from others if I could.

Thanks! I was struggling with the door. Would like some smaller doors like in HF1. I had a look at your bay window and it looks cool with the windows! The roof is something I have to figure out for the bay window, this was a bit disastrous😅

@@ambientgamescape Ya I saw that, one reasons why I like to try this build as mine don't have a roof so like to see if I can do it. Most of your roofing so far is really good and ya can be tricky with the roofing but hey it's fun learning. Think the new update that came out today may have closet doors check it out.

I was watching the stream for the update but need to have a good look at what was added. I hope you have better luck with the roof than I did! 😁

@@ambientgamescape For what I saw of you doing the roof for your bay windows, if you were to have one side angled, mid section straight and other side angled then you prob could of used slopes on the angled parts (window to house) and half hip on the straight part (window to house) and try to line up the slopes to the line of the half hip and resize the slopes to the house in hoping doesn't go right through your house to the point you see the roof on the inside, as I've been watching you doing the roof and saw that maybe you can do so without having the gable to hide rest of the gaps, you should take out the straight part out on either end and have it completely angled. Sorry I edited this but seeing the inside of your bay window I see why you have straight on either end of the bay, is to make it larger and yes Christmas tree would be perfect there lol but you can try my idea if you like for the roof anyways if you understood it and if not sorry am not good at explaining stuff in comment section lol.

Thanks for your suggestion! You're not being mean, and I appreciate your input. I prefer to stick to what the game has to offer.. so if the game has music, I'll play with music (I'm also playing without music for some videos). But ContractVille doesn't have it's own soundtrack unfortunately. Hope you still enjoy the content!

For the food truck, I had a look at references before just to see what food trucks looked like but didn't look at one in particular to make. For this cottage, I saw it and thought it would be a cool one to try and build and make a custom job out of. I find references help a lot, to get the feel of elements for a style whether interior or exterior and also to inspire me. But yeah, this one I tried to build it as close as possible to the photos.

@@ambientgamescape Makes sense! I struggle with visualizing things in my head so references are a huge help in creative projects. It's nice to see someone doing the same things I guess. Well done on the exterior! I can't wait to see how it all turns out <3

Thanks for letting me know 🥰 I wasn't sure if the creation part of the job was interesting but I wanted to give it a go. It takes a lot to make a custom job! Most of the custom jobs I've completed take a few hours so I can only imagine it takes days to create the job and they test it too!
