i'm huge daft punk fan, and a big MSTRKRFT fan. Been to see DaftPOunk three times and MSTRKRFT once. Ratatatat i have seen once - and i would say all three are completely different - and only one is an offshoot of an actual guitar totin' rock band - that would be MSTRKRFT with Death from Above 1969. now if you are unable to accept that these bands all differ then i would suggest you get different ears - i have always slept well at night - unless of course something actually important was awry.

"MSTRKRFT do it all themselves" So does Ratatat. Easy Love was an okay somewhat original minimalist raw electronic experiment. Fist of God was a load of commercialized shit with a mess of awful cameos. And this sounds EXACTLY like Ratatat... Not sure what my comment on their failure to distinguish themselves and create a unique sound has ANYTHING to do with Daft Punk's sampling (which you clearly have some bullshit opinion against), but hey- whatever helps you sleep at night, man. ;)

Daft punk stole/sampled/re-edited ALL of their riffs from soul, rock, disco and pop tunes from the 60's, 70's, 80's - MSTR KRFT do it all themselves - apples and oranges my friend.
