Hey there thanks for stopping by, wont you stay for awhile? We are her to yapp about anything and everything, but mostly movies and games.
The Borderlands movie . . . but it's just Claptrap
As a big fan of the borderlands games I was looking forward to the movie, unfortunately the movie was terrible! But I think Jack Black did a good job with Claptrap and I thought it would be fun to make this edit and I think it is a good watch!

Ranking the Alien movie franchise - Tier List

With the recent release of Alien: Romulus I couldn't think of a better time to make a tier list on the Alien franchise as a whole! Let me know if you agree or disagree!
Megalopolis Review - I Love It

Francis Ford Coppola's new film Megalopolis is a film that must be seen in order to describe. While it is far from perfect, I very much enjoyed my movie going experience with this one!

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a great sequel!
Hey, to each his own. There's people out there that believe Kirk Cameron's "Saving Christmas" is an all-time classic. If you love it, good for you.
It's so bad 😢
Oh so she'll shave her head for alien but nowhere else
I god-damned wish I could be a part of the making of a Union of Progressive Peoples series!
Alien 3 didnt use CG for the Xeno.
Finally someone said it!
I'm someone who can enjoy bad movies like Alien Resurrection. I feel that AvP:R in F tier is entirely appropriate, but I'd personally not rank Romulus as high. I enjoyed Romulus in the theater, but it's kind of like Force Awakens in that it pushes the nostalgia bait a little too hard in lieu of being more original. Apart from Rain and the Android the characters were not that likeable and I felt like the elevator sequence towards the end of the film in particular was poorly written. I'm hoping that it inspires more Alien media and I'd like to see a movie basically that's just a Giger fest; a movie more like the original Alien with weird biomechanical landscapes and creatures we haven't seen before.
Is this as good and deep as Cloud Atlas?
I LOVED IT TOO!
Eh respectfully disagree. IMO Romulus and Prometheus are below Alien 3. Romulus' last 2/3 turned a B movie (bordering on A) into a D.
Alien Romulus “innovates”? Was 2 hours of member berries😂😂
stop yapping
Megalopolis tries so hard to be an intellectual masterpiece that it ends up being a hollow, pretentious mess. The movie constantly throws flashy visuals and philosophical jargon at you, but underneath all the noise, there's nothing of substance. It's like the filmmakers thought if they added enough complexity, it would come across as "deep," but instead, it feels painfully forced. People aren't dumb. Audiences can tell when something is genuinely thought-provoking versus when it’s trying too hard to appear clever. This film lacks heart and authenticity, leaving it cold and uninspiring. If you're looking for a movie that truly challenges your mind, Megalopolis is not it. Instead, it overestimates its own intelligence and ends up underwhelming anyone with even a basic sense of storytelling and character depth. Save your time-this one’s all style, no soul. Total personal opinion dont take me too seriously 😐
And it ended up being one of the best flicks of all time!!
Deadass
Funny enough I put AVPR above the first AVP movie. Maybe it was the lighting on my TV where I could see what was going on, or the Wolf, but it's a B for me. I had about as much fun with it as AVP, personally. I will say I despised Covenant and would probably put it at F. Visually it looks fine, and I loved Prometheus - but it was basically just Ridley Scott circlejerking over his own creation, philosophies and it could have worked, the concepts were there but it seemingly went out of it's way to miss almost every mark except for David. Not to mention the plot holes, the lack of logic and mangling of the canon. AVPR wasn't great, but it didn't insult me with the intelligence of the monsters and actually showed the Xenomorph as a ruthless threat.
The best ranking I've seen about this franchise. I would argue that AvP:R is actually awesome if you only watch the scenes where the Wolf Predator is on screen. Easily the greatest Predator we've seen to date.
For me alien 3 is in b tier at least with special edition. Other ratings are fine
It's sooo high camp I love it 💀
The main point is that this movie ignores the criteria sheet that modern culture has decided makes for a "good movie." This comes up even in this video with comments about the editing not being good, or the writing not being good. In order to say something like that, you have to have decided on a standard for what "good" editing or writing even is. Inevitably when something is different, it creates its own style, so it doesn't work when judged by the standard criteria sheet.
One thing is true about the movie . Its all style , no heart .
@@yokitosyosko If you mean there was no passion going into it, that's objectively wrong. But if it means it didn't emotionally move you, that's a subjective experience and it's one I don't share but understand if you felt that way.
I love it too. I think you should give it a little time and try another viewing. I have a feeling that this is one of those movies that will bear new fruit no matter how many times you watch it. Coppola has actually said stuff to that effect in interviews. I'm saying it based on other books and films I've seen in the past that I loved but had baffling elements in them. There's too much here to pick up in one view.
Different? Hardly. Derivative? Absolutely. Try Sucker Punch, City of Lost Children, Scott Pilgrim- those are different. Cool that you liked it, but there are way better movies that fit the bill.
lol Sucker Punch!
@@pureevilfnord yeah, crappy movie, but different. And still miles ahead of this abortion. Lol
I can't understand how anyone could sit through an entire film with Adam driver in it an not be throwing constantly!
Thanks you for your appreciation you are not hung up on having something different looking at it like art.
This movie is pure garbage, omg.
maybe you are
I think the movie failed at delivering its message about working together. While the characters were able to work out their personal differences, megalopolis was built because a crashing satellite destroyed the homes that were the present obstacle of it being built. So, there really was no cooperative solution reached. Also, the utopia was built by the nepotist elites instead of emerging from humanity itself.
Try to think of a further point coppola could be making through megalopolis not having been built Until the satellite destroyed the homes
@@mimified7513 sure. The question arises then "how many plebs need to be killed so that the elites can build their 'utopia'?"
"Aliens" nr.1 👍 So, make an S+ tier...other than that, i agree with your list.
Aliens goes easily over Alien !!!
Agree to disagree!
Aliens made the Xeno nothing more than bugs. It's one of the best action movies ever I agree, but it took down the Xeno. The queen is such a stupid concept for a perfect organism.
I disagree with pretty much everything you say in this review but it's great that people can have such differing opinions.
Best comment I've seen in awhile!
Agreed. I just got out of the cinema and nearly left half way through from boredom. I haven't felt that since weatching The Grinch at the cinema! Was so, so dull. Visually stunning an ddecent perfomances by my god its a boring film
@@iio58 I do think it had some beautiful visuals at times but after a while the 'stunning visuals' weren't so stunning and I was left with visual static and some truly awful performances and equally awful dialogue. I think the only people enjoying themselves in the whole cinema were the couple getting it on in the back left row. At least someone had a good time.
Couldn't agree more
Aubrey is awesome in the TV series _LEGION_ and was good in this as a treacherous _femme fatale._
He didn't audition!
they can never make me hate you (the first 7 minutes of the movie)
I believe it, it was shit
as a fun little family film it was good, as a transformers movie it sucked but the cgi and the decepticon's having more personality was a step in a better direction for the franchise
@@st0rm3325 I think for a transformers fan it was great had the lore but better than the previous films bunch of transformers characters from the shows and all the transformers designs were the best they’ve ever been being closest to what the transformers actually looked like
You're probably a Bayverse fan who can only get distracted by fights and explosions all the time.
@@st0rm3325Well, to me it seems like the best of the franchise (in live action) and the one that entertained me the most. I liked that it bothered to tell a story instead of meaningless explosions and fights.
@@PasadoDeVersa123 i can see how you'd like it, i've always been for more of the autobot/decepticon focused stories though. that's why i really enjoyed tf:one and the current skybound comics. a perfect transformers movie would be a semi-original adaptation of those comics tbh
I was so hooked the first one hour. 3 hours just flew by. Loved it. Saw it in the theater two times. I hope Chapter 2 will still be released this year.
There were parts I liked for sure, I still hope chapter 2 comes out and improves the series!
So that's why its bland in ROTB they chose cheaper
Yep, it's obviously worse if you ask me!
ILM peak
Tim Curry would’ve also ate.
Sam Kinison would’ve been wild
Sam kenison would have been funny and loud.
Christopher Lloyd or Jim Carey would actually be great as beetlejuice ngl
I walked out of this movie, it was awful
Worst one in the series IMO
You made something that cost you 250$ to make and you sold and sold it for 610$ but you still loose 100$ 😂 you need a new accountant
I wish we could see each actor reading for the part
Jim Carrey would been crazy good with all his face expressions
Funny thing is most of these people played DC villians Michael Keaton- Batman Danny Daveto- Penguin Arnold Swartzinegger- Mr. Freeze Jim Carrey- The riddler Jack Nicolson- Joker
Its like someone built a house for 250,000. Sold it for 600,000, then said oops, we spent 700,000 to build and sell this house, I guess we get to write it off our taxes! Such fraud.
jim carrey wasnt even in Hollywood until 1993.....
It sucks, that they were kinda lazy on juices make up. For #2. They didn’t have the most all the way around his head. It looked just like face paint. I was kinda disappointed really.
John Cleese beetle juice… that would’ve been epic
Jim Carrey or Robin Williams would have been boring, they both just play the same in every movie their in. Micheal Keaton really had to change his performance for that role. John Greese would have been interesting but he's guilty of what Carrey and Williams of the same thing.
