You used a lot more than just a battery and was it really worth all that trouble to fix a cheap broken plastic stool? I would rather buy a new one. I have a plastic chair with a broken leg which you can collect for free. It will be a lot more comfortable for you to sit on when making your phone calls after you have fixed it.

Good way to fix shoes if SHTF. Otherwise, I'd use Shoe Glue. I keep some on hand.

Effective glue, but some gasoline remains in the glue and easily penetrates the soles into your socks. You will have to clean the shoes to remove any toxic chemicals in the gasoline, like bezene.
