hello, I´m interested, we are producing asparagus at Baja California Sur, Mexico, we collect them on summer, where can I get your seed, and more information?? our weather is high humidity on morning and dry on noon.

I have read so much mixed information. If we were to trial these on our farm and plant in winter are we opening in spring or does it take 12 mths (cut all first year blossoms).

I’m a home grower, have a couple dozen plants in large containers for home consumption. I cull some blooms to get bigger berries, and really want the juiciest, best tasting berries, rather than something with the best ‘commercial’ properties. I’m zone 8b, Sunnyvale, CA. What variety should I look for? Albion is big and firm, but seems dry and short on taste. I would like something everbearing or day neutral, I think - don’t make jelly.

It looks a lot like what we call the "Columbia Giant" here in the US, except I believe the Columbia Giant ripens around August.

Being on the Canadian prairies, asparagus varieties can be lost to winterkill, I had rather poor results with old varieties as well as the Jersey types ... BUT, 'Guelph Millennium' is truly outstanding hardy and productive! I had a 40 ft long row that had seen all types of winters and even exposed to periods of absolute bitter cold with no snow cover, I had my concerns, though come spring those lovely big spears were pushing through the ground! I've ordered 'Eclipse' seed for this spring. Again, thanks for the great breeding work, I've seen videos of your asparagus being appreciated and favored in European countries as well!

I'm from the north west region of Canada, we have pleasant mild summers and long bitterly cold winters that sometimes will be the demise of asparagus. 'Guelph Millennium' I've grown for many years with great success and without wintering issues, so I do recommend it for other challenging far north climates, especially that of the Scandinavian countries. I'm now pleased to see of the new release 'Guelph Eclipse' and must try it as well!
