Chloe deserved to be at the top of your pyramid because not only was she a part of the-dance-that-shall-not-be-mentioned but she was also forced to wear a meat suit, all within the same week. And I agree, I also preferred The Raven over Maddie solo

Not Abby saying “that’s gonna turn up and haunt you” in the same episode when she has them appearing nude on stage. I know which of those two things is going to haunt Chloe and let me tell you, it ain’t the meat suit…

I gotta say the contrast in this episode with the Fan-tastic dance on the unbelievably inappropriate end of the spectrum and then we have Cathy with the f****ng meat suit on the unbelievably weird but hilarious end of the spectrum … I can’t with this show

Maddie and Brooke also got the scholarships. You can hear Maddie in the background saying she just wants to reorganize her makeup. Edit: I think this episode is also when they find out when Mrs. Miller is sick.

I think another reason why they didn’t do a pyramid of the moms is because the moms wouldn’t have cared nearly as much about Abby putting them on the bottom/treating them badly as they do when she does it to the kids. So it’s just another way to add drama and the fact that the producers/Abby can use the pyramid as an explanation for who’s getting a solo/duet/trio adds to it as well and that wouldn’t really work if the moms were the ones on the pyramid

Apparently Maddie forgot her dance because the camera people were all in her space and shoving cameras in her face for the shot

Kendalls version was honestly forgettable for me

I might get ripped apart for this, but after watching Abby abusing those kids on tv for years, I can’t even get mad about the moms being mean about her weight. I’m obese myself and I hate fat shaming but I also have zero respect or empathy for Abby, she chose to go on TV and make herself the villain. Them coming at her for her weight is very low hanging fruit and it’s not a good look for them, but they wouldn’t be doing it if Abby didn’t bully their kids.

Okay I also have to say, I think Cathy putting her dancer in the wrong age category must’ve been a production thing. I can’t imagine any business owner would willingly do something like that because it has the potential of jeopardising your reputation

I may be wrong, but im pretty sure something happened with Abby's mother during the filming of this episode, i think she passed away. This may be why she was very emotional (more than usual) during the competition, but the producers spun it to be about them losing the group and Maddy forgetting her solo

Abby was actually crying because she found out her mom was admitted to the hospital and the producers wanted her crying to be because of Maddie forgetting her solo.

The only reason Nia got to go again is because Holly went up to the judges herself. If Nia asked Abby, Abby wouldn't allow it. The competitions usually let the kids go again because they know the kids are kids.

fun fact: scene where maddie is being disciplined by melissa isn't because chloe got scolarship, maddie and brooke got it too, maddie was just stressed and wanted to organize, that's why melissa and other moms told their kids not to cry or bring them behind curtains or in the bathroom, because the producers would create storylines like this, and maddie was told by the producers to say that she was mad that chloe gpt scolarship

I feel bad for Maddie but again, Abby as the teacher should be CONSISTENT with how she treats the kids. So the fact that she consoles Maddie here and is nasty with the other girls when they forget is absolute bull shit. If I as a counselor treated any of my students differently and showed preferential treatment, it would be a disgrace to my profession.

It gets a bit repetitive hearing it all the time but I don’t think Kelly was wrong about Maddie and Chloe’s choreography being way better. Theirs was an actual duet with a cool theme whereas Brooke and Paige’s duet felt like two people performing a solo side by side

Brooke and Maddie also got scholarships. Maddie for contemporary I wanna say, and Brooke for Acro. They couldn’t go because of the show.

Funfact - producers actually didn’t let Abby teach Maddie’s solo until the day of the competition listen to how Melissa says “It’s not fair they just threw you out there” and Chloe also forgot but she improved her solo

I will never understand why Abby was so hell bent on giving Maddie special treatment, especially the further the show goes on. Who wouldn’t want to be able to say “yeah, I trained all six of these girls” instead of being like “I trained Maddie, none of the rest of them matter”. I feel like the more students she has in the industry, the better for her, no?

Bittersweet to see Quinn go. As a character he was easily the 3rd most entertaining right behind Angela & Tucker as u can't deny he provided for a great chunk of the excitement for the season (having 2 HOHs blow up in his face, his rivalry with Tucker, as well as some cringe worthy parts of the season). As a player though Quinn will definitely go do as the messiest superfan to have ever played the game (the only one I can think of that comes close is BB11 Ronnie). He was a pretty weird player to watch on the feeds as u can tell he did know what would be the right moves to make but never made them (his 2nd HOH was a perfect example, he knew that Makensy woukd be a valuable ally to pick up yet he told Chelsie that which led to Chelsie grabbing her as a number while Quinn couldn't build that relationship, knowing that he needed to break up the TKR trio yet not putting up T'Kor & instead putting up an important ally).
