Dad Hunts Coins

Recap examples of what you can find out of bank boxes & coin searching. Mostly nickel & penny box hunts but some dimes, quarters & halves. Sometimes my kids also help with my searches & I film their finds. I hope you hit the like button & subscribe (my kids like seeing the number go up).
I've uploaded an excel spreadsheet that you can download to track your coins, silver & gold. I use it to track my bullion, rounds, coins, gold etc. It updates automatically with gold & silver prices for me so hopefully it does it for you too. It may help you keep track of your stack better, give a base idea for you to change it to your liking, or give an idea for what you like or don't like a spreadsheet etc. It was an excel sheet that I uploaded as a google docs link.
I also uploaded one that keeps track of your averages & total finds for your hunts that auto averages when there is new box hunted. I have it for pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, & halves.

Barber Collection Auction Win!

I won an almost complete Barber Half Dollar collection 1892-1915-S missing only 7 coins on an auction on Pa's Spare Time channel @passparetime. Thanks! Yea, but my credit union who I can't get halves from has a self serve coin machine in the lobby that deposits straight to your account for free if you are a member. I didn't notice that it was an ender it until I was reviewing the video. Even when opening it, I didn't notice it was the ender until I flipped it over.

I have like 23 of them my grandma gave em to me, trying to figure out value on em. New to penny stuff
They are fun to have & even better when from grandma. The "2024 Official Red Book" (about $15 on Amazon) is a good source along with looking online at graded examples such as PCGS or NGC.
I do the third way but i use an old finger nail file... just because it happens to be handy.... whatever works!

I just bang the middle of the roll on the edge of the table so it snaps in half and then from the ends push the coins out!
I thought about adding that in.
Don't get machine wrapped often 'cause usually try to get customer wrapped; when I do get machine wrapped I use my Walker Magnet screwdriver. 😉
My kids love using their Walker Magnet screwdriver. They hang it from the light when they are not using it.
Had a chuckle at the way the kids attacked opening the box, it never stood a chance. Nice finds!
