Thanks for the recommendation. I will try that and the Vandoren Optimum alto lig as well. I love this Berg I'm playing. Why did you move away from yours?
With the Vandoren Optimum lig remember you can take the bottom plate out if it needs to be larger. Needed to be able to cut through a larger ensemble and went back to metal.
Dang, just saw you mentioned BG Duo Ligature. Was it a tenor or alto ligature?
Hi Bob, Yes it was the alto BG Duo ligature. It can fit a vintage Berg Larsen tenor hard rubber piece depending on the blank. There are many different blanks but from the two I have from the 50's it works. With the smaller 60's blank it can be a little big but still works also. It was the best one I found for it.
HI Eric, I just bought a 1940's-50's HR Berg. Having trouble finding a ligature that fits. What ligature did you use on your Berg?

Great track. I love the motif and I have a rack xs, but have your keyboard player check out neosoul keys studio 2. I use the ipad version. I might not gig with it, but it is A LOT of fun.

Hi Bob, Thanks, It is a Bobby Dukoff D9 vintage piece. MB played one for awhile before he switched to the Guardala.

That’s funny, I’ve been considering the same setup after seeing the same video. It sounds good here but the Jumbo Java on the other video sounds good too.

Thank you Lisette. Actually that is a Hoss .110 (8) by Saxquest. Eric Falcon does the hand finishing. Plays like a 1950's vintage slant duck bill by Berg Larsen.

It's a D minor chord in which all of the white keys between D3-D4 are depressed--think D dorian. You can see my right hand flattening into a cluster. Thanks for your interest.

@@ericwalentowiczmusic Thanks! Again I'm amazed at the sound of the Jumbo. You seem to use a lot of mpc's. Are you looking for "the one" or just having fun trying different ones. Your playing level clearly transcends a mpc which is why you sound so good on all of them but is one more versatile cause I also like your sound on the Hoss a lot? Thanks, Bob
@@BobDoherty - Appreciated! Looking for the one. I do like the richness of the Jumbo Java but sometimes it can be a little too bright for me. You bring up an interesting point though of comparing the Jumbo Java and The Hoss. In all fairness I would have to have the same/similiar size tip opening so as to compare "apples to apples". My Hoss is a larger tip opening (#8 .110) and the T55 is (.98).
