Was about to comment on the haunting melody - then at 5:44 the pianist vanishes like a ghost!!
Love this piece of music. So much yearning, loss and resolution in a few minutes! Impressed the soloist manages not to shed a tear! Exquisite playing.
I watched you play at the Springfield orchestra on September 28 2024 you where amazing I want to be you
Beautiful.
the acoustics.. this is so beautiful!!
The accoustics in this cathedral are enchanting.
Beautiful.
Wonderful as always... I think that I would feel much intimidated playing at that position, with the orchestra behind me, even the maestro...
Beautiful performance. Sutured my heart
Superb setting, wonderful performance ….heartwarming….
Thanks for this gift of brilliant music making. St James Paddington in Sussex Gardens is a very beautiful very High Anglican (almost Anglo-Catholic) ecclesiastical venue. I've sat there and listened many times to concerts for which I ought to have paid, but craftily did not. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_James%27s_Church,_Paddington It's quite a ride on the Central Line from EC1 or EC3 😂😘. Miriam is super talented and clearly going places. Three cheers to her and the LCP. Love andrea
Beautiful
Really great, such a heartfelt performance with outstanding crispness and clarity to the sound
Epic performance! Awesome to meet new musicians!❤
Miriam, this is just wonderful in every way, you're my favorite cellist, I love your style, you're a great inspiration to me as I'm learning cello. And I love your perfect gorgeous dress for the piece and space. Thank you so much for posting this! Inspiration is such a beautiful thing!
@@hayfordokiniiri3596 thank you!! This made my day 😊 all the best to you!
Bravo! Fine music making
Hi Miriam. Your performance was amazing! Can't wait to hear you perform the full concerto. Will you do that eventually? Please don't make us wait too long! All the best 🙂
Thank you so much! I have done the full concerto in the past, but I am always looking forward to doing this incredible concerto again. I also hope it’s not too long 😅
@@miriamksmithYour full concerto is not on RUclips, is it?
@@AkhwatShanay-is7dc unfortunately it is not, but I really hope to have another performance and full recording of it in the near future!
Congratulation on a beautiful performance Miriam. St James' Church is almost walking distance from home... Wish I'd known you were performing...Would have liked to see you perform Dvořák live.... All the best
Thank you! I really hope to be back in London someday, it has become one of my favorite cities. All the best to you as well!
Brilliant! Truly musical soul in this young cellist. Sensitive and receptive to what is hidden in the score. Well done - from a cello teacher.
Beautiful rendition of this classic - with fabulous tone throughout. My daughter and I play cello and she has played this piece for a graded exam and it clearly inspired her with her cello playing. I will send her the link as she will love this.
Beautiful musicality!
Incredible technique ! I love the performance <3 But... how did the cello not slip on the parquet floor O_o ? (I don't see a pique stopper.... )
This reminds me of a High school sweetheart that played excellent cello. But in the end she wanted a man of her dogmatic background. (LDS) I had been watching her learned found her stuffing a locker, but did not submit... Catholi😂c and Baptist bk grnd. Her mother loved me. We (her mother & I) 😅served on the HS Lunch Line together. Her father tolerated me. I found a girl that was funny and incredibly beautiful. Intelligent to boot! 9months later she wanted to introduce me to her parents, only to find out that I was already familiar with her mother, from the HS Lunch program. But I was not LDS, so she continued on, I would not be. She Got a new BF. I Protectivly wantched from afar. She dropped him and found a new boy. I stopped watching. She married a returned missionary , thinking it was all good. 5-10yrs later, I visit parents Grave-Stones, regularly. and cry for them. The parents, not the accusatory siblings of my GF. 🐾🐺🐾
I'm so tired of this look
Unexpected, but good!
This is among my favorite pieces by RVW. I liked how you didn't push the piece. Even though it was a very warm interpretation, you showed enough belief in the music to allow it to speak for itself.
I love the cello bring with the music played by the artist
Music to contemplate the deeper meaning in life.
PS 165..
Such a soul-touching composition--she plays with sensitivity, artistry, and technical mastery. Takes one to another world of peace and beauty!
Great talent, great feeling for the music, and definitely great future. we are going to hear a lot about her soon.❤❤❤
There is so much beauty here between the musician, the instrument, and the environment ! Bravo
Everything here is a delight. Watching this performance is like meditation...
Just finished listening to the album for the 2d time. Wow, looking forward to no.3!
❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Sounds extraordinary ... love it!
PS Jean Francaix Fantasie..you should learn it. Fantastic piece
I hope you identify your cello and bow. Folks dig that stuff.
Dear Miriam, when I see talented human being like you, it always opens heaven’s door for me. It emphasises the hope, that there is so much beautiful potential within all of us. We all just need to go dig deep within ourself to find it and use it for benefit of others. You are the hope for the humanity. Wish you all the luck and strength to persevere with uncorrupted heart.
Gnarly is the perfect way to describe it. Love the sound!
If you play the 3-note pizzicato eigth note chords in the last movement, played piano and a little sul ponticello, sounds like a string orchestra in the distance
Loved this. A work I don't know.
BEAUTIFULLY MADE HER UR'S, ABSOLUTELY 😂🙏🏾🌹🕊😯😢🙂🙃👍🏾🇬🇧
Talented, and beautiful!
What a prodigious talent with complete mastery of her instrument!
This was really nice to see. We get a glimpse of the artist's perspective. The photo cover of the record is beautiful!
Thank you so much!
I heard last Wed on Myra Hess concert. Her Luigi sonata was so fantastic.
Love your interpretation of this piece
Very talented!
Beautifully played Bach Cello Suite. Attended her exceptional performance on 11/16/23 in the lusher environment of The National Arts Club performing with Ms. Siciliano works of Beethove, Cesar Franck and Nadia Boulanger.
