Can you upgrade screen in X200? Yes you can with AFFS screen, it is basically an IPS screen with CCFL backlight instead of LED. Colors are now more vibrant, in person even experience. In end of the video I have compared screen to my X230, X200 IPS, X201T IPS. X201 can be also upgraded, but it needs X200 CCFL inverter common questions: how much it costs - ~ 70€ resolution: 1280x800px screen mode...

I use this charger well oner a year, so far no issues works great It has no difficulties to power an X330 (X230) with i7-3615QE, but at full load battery charging is limited to prioritize power for CPU

Lovely keyboard - I have the same layout on my X-220. The perfect Linux keyboard. Oversized Escape for VI. Trackpoint to eliminate sloppy touchpads. Simply the best.
Ja toho Bacigalu zabijem! 🤘 Podľa mňa upgradnúť repráky za pár € je asi najlepšie čo sa dá asi na každom notebooku. Je smutné že aj tie najnovšie high-end majú reproduktory ako piezo bzučiaky, bez basov, iba s výškami. Výrobca vie že používateľ bude aj tak najskôr používať slúchadlá alebo iné výstupy. Keď si vezmeš že pred 10 rokmi mali notebooky samostatné subwoofery, doslovne boombox. 😂

@@peterrisa I get life can be crazy but Xue used to trash Jackie LCD fans then now disappear and seem to scam a good number of people. Not a good decision. Its so easy for Xue to just update his website and respond to reddit and other thinkpad forums.

@peterrisa totally understand! love the x230 16:10 but cpu and gpu has progressed so far now. i still got my x330 16:10 but i use a X1 Nano gen 1 as my daily laptop now.

@@peterrisa Hm, well. Defeats the purpose. Thanks for advice though, saved me a potential time waste. What would be the next ideal thing to do, phone speakers? Obviously a far cry from macbook speakers but hardly anything is worse than the stock speakers lol
@@peterrisa it's 1am and I was thinking - the 2.5 hdd bay (which in my case is just a slot for the m2 adapter I use) could probably easily be removed and the m2 ssd fasten somehow else.. there should be plenty of space for better speakers, but they'd be mono-ish. Still - the stock t480 ones are so bad I almost think i'd prefer mono. Plus I'd have to cut holes in the bottom cover, but eh? Maybe I could even angle them at a way so that - with holes cut - the speakers would be firing a bit at you instead of downwards. Is one of the mbp 12" (for instance) speakers sufficient, I wonder?

I’m building a T535 right now ❤❤❤ update: I built a T530 with an i7 3840QM, NVS 5400 dGPU, 1080p LCD, a keyboard based on ivyrain flash, 16GB (some suggest I can upgrade to 32GB, but I'm unsure), 3TB SSDs, a 9-cell battery, and a method to connect a full-size GPU via "the Beast" (using a 3060 12GB, not very efficient but functional). I'm still searching for the best operating system. Also, I have a librebooted X200 with 8GB RAM, a P8700 CPU running at 2.5GHz, an external antenna, an AFFS screen with a resolution of 1280 by 800, an ultrabase, and a 9-cell battery. Running ArchLinux with i3wm. :D

Hi, im in the process of making my own x330, rn i ve ordered all needed parts for display mod, only problem is: I have to cut the display's bezel, im planning to find a some company, so they could do that for me, but I need dimensions for 13.3 16:10 (AUO B133QAN02.0 like panel) display cut in bezel, could you help me with that? Like how thick upper, right, left and bottom bezel's dimensions should be?
what did you end up doing for the bezels?
@@jphw854 I still don't have the final assembly, but instead I have a plan. It's doable with scalpel, but I ended up with 16 by 9 display, witch makes it really tricky.
