Featuring live music videos originally broadcast on television in the '80s and early '90s, plus concert videos I've taken in the 21st century, silly college-era home videos, scenes from my radio career, pro-wrestling, mock-wrestling, nature scenes of Nova Scotia and "Talk Show With Helmets."

This is a part of Canadian history right here❤❤❤
As Canadian as maple syrup and hockey!
Water’s a drug!
My favorite band of all time! Living in the USA I didn't even know Gord passed until "Get Back Again" and "Highway Girl" came out on the net a few months back. Sad day! I've listened to the "Up To Here" album hundreds of times, it's my all time favorite album! RIP Gord!
His passing was on the front page of just about every newspaper and news magazine here in Canada in October, 2017. Gord was a National treasure and a great human being.
@@Mick_Farland The only song I ever heard played here was New Orleans is Sinking in 1991 and I went straight out and bought Up To Here. Until a few months ago I always had hopes of going to see them and then when Get Back Again pop up on FB and someone posted RIP GORD. Well, you probably understand how I felt. Thanks for the Misty Moon video.
I love the misty moon
Awesome band love the HIP goodies looks so high and happy singing that song
Thanks, good stuff
Glad you enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed it
man i absolutely love the outro for on the verge, they just keep speeding and speeding it up until it explodes into noise
Frantic! In a good way.
Civil War was played live ONCE...This time.
I saw them at The Marquee Cafe London up close & in your face. In the small Cafe behing the main venue. 12 foot from the Ayotte.
It’s ironic ACL sings the first part when he gets pissed of when people see him
23:00 the sort of original footage used in the Get Back Again official music video
They would have made it big in Chicago.
Awesome upload! Thank you.
You're welcome. I was there that night and it was one I'll never forget.
@@Mick_Farland for a guy that grew up on the Hip and Muchmusic this is such an awesome find. I miss the that era of the world. RIP Gord.
@@jasonf9506 music played such an important part in our lives and we had the best of it!
@@Mick_Farland for sure! So many comments on The Hip's page under the Get Back Again video requesting the entire live show and here it is!
@@jasonf9506 although for how long it stays up I don't know, it's already blocked in some regions.
Nobody plays a better wah pedal than Slash.
Oh the time!
lol @ people who blame Steven for the slower tempo- the song is already dragging right at the beginning before the drums even come in. How can Steven be blamed for what in reality was Slash and Izzy's fuck up? Regardless- once the drums kick in, the song ROCKS because Steve got back back on track.
I DID NOT know this performance existed in the world. Axl whistling for the first :52 while Don Henley gently rolls on the crash cymbal? Priceless.
I remember taping it and thinking wtf?
Least known Best Band in the World.
⚡️🤘😊
Awesome 👍🏻🤘🏻
I am from their home town and it's great to see how they gave a great performance in another city thank you
You're welcome... the Hip were a big deal in Halifax and I had the pleasure of being there that night.
34 years ago. A bunch of my Phi Kappa Pi brothers on the rail, I was working the Palace and missed it. A snap shot of HFX in my salad days.
Auld Steve smacked out on the sticks, go on my son!!! Lol
Bonzo Dog!!!
pt 2?
Yes, there's 5 parts in total.
Hard to date this exactly. I hear the "Shark Sandwich" era influence, but the complex harmonies really speak "Intravenous De Milo" to me. As someone else mentioned, not peak Tap, but very close to their peak.
PEAK GUNS N ROSES
Thanks for posting this Mike! What a blast from the past, I remember working on this in college. Takes me back haha. Cheers!
Shark Sandwich - era? Not peak Tap.
Funny how art imitates life...Reiner's latest movie raked in 38 mil, wait what's that? 38 thousand?? Literally 38 grand?
The way Axl sings/yells the song here is so much better than the half a sleep spagetti version
The Best GNR. Adler izzy slash duff axl❤. Idol 1990
...Three US nationals Canada happily adopted
And Dick Clark at the end....whoooooaaaa
I know right? That stil cracks me up!
THANK YOU for posting this!!!!
My pleasure! I love the Tap!!
Steven Adler does play great drums in this last performance with GnR playing in its original and best line up.
For sure, and he should of been on the Illusion albums (I think he did play on Civil War), but it all got too messy unfortunately.
Steven was awesome. Wow..great
Harry Shearer on bass not drums? I think?
Great lineup!!! I miss them all..
*promo sm* 🌟
He sounds just like Hollywood Hogan 97
Good grief. Steven played just a nanosecond behind the band and just made their sound. They imploded when he got the boot.
Axl is lethal here. Pulling out all the stops, two stepping, high stepping, Janis in motion, he did his homework, best lineup ever. Glad I also recorded it at the time. My buddy saw it, made me play it a dozen times in a row, top volume.
What's Axl's problem at the end?
He was mad at Steven Adler
problem?
Who threw that at me?!?!?!. That's it!! I'm taking the next 18 years off and releasing a piss poor album 10 years late.
Perhaps, it ain't that bad! (No pun intended)
Steven Adler is a goddamn great drummer
he really enjoyed it
Yeah, and he was about to get fired for Heroin addiction. The repacement sucked and they lost heir swaggering swing. Steven was the foundation for that band and just got it.
@@dansig123who was the new drummer? :)

From 1987 to 1993 the best Rock n Roll Band EVER!!!!
I would like that we all take a moment of silence to pay respects to all different illegal drugs, as well as pharma's including combinations of them for their glorious contribution in the human's music history and artists creativity. Sometimes at the cost of their lives, sometimes not. But anyone who claims best 60' to end 90' music hasn't been composed under the influence of drugs is a fucking liar. When music brought you tears or fuckin dopamine rush and you don't know why ? Well thanks drugs for that ! And in particular Heroin and Acid's, often psychedelic+downers + stimulants... Until human's body can't handle it, and it's often too late or not worth stopping when rock and pop stars 've been living decades of abuse and no touch with reality. Axl is probably aware about Steven illness now and he may have regrets or not from a friend point of view. On the other hand, Axl never forget Adler for whoever almost killing pregnant Erin by giving her valiums and heroin. But don't think Axl was completely sober in the 90-93 era : He was rolling on Seroquel, Benzos, steroids and pharma's amphetamines so he could wake up in the morning while still sort of dealing with his psychosis and mania. It's no different than street drugs, but it won't kill you or you won't OD on it unless you're a heavy drinker. Axl spoke about his "medical prescribed" cocktails in front of the court. Imagine Led zeppelin or Pink Floyd , Hendrix, the Doors.... would have been sober and never explored those artificial's paradise (city) , imagine how much would have been lost.
Have you read Steven Adler's biography? he wasn't the one who almost killed erin, on the contrary he saved her
Izzys ex gave Erin the drugs
was she the one WASP put on the wheel at the live shows@@AmyMichele-mr9xj
That voice! One in a million(seriously, no pun intended). Had those moves down pretty good by that time. The internet has f'd up alot of things, but this aint one of em.
