I hated the album as fuck, but I had a good listen to it and actually now I really like it -although it is definitely NOT my favorite -. The only thing is left for me to do is BUY THE GODDAMN THING 😂😂😂

They are crazy expensive now. There is also a new Tophat version available. The only problem with the statue, and it's minor, the cross on his forehead is not inverted.

I listened to a lot of DRI back in the late 80's. Also, I don't know if you were joking or not about the socks but they do sell them on King Diamond's official website under the "European Merch" section. I don't know why they aren't for sale with the North American merchandise but they aren't.

Good review man, I love this album and was going to see this tour in Vancouver but they cancelled!!!! Definitely one of Sabbath's heaviest, and most evil sounding albums. If you don't like this album I question your METAL!!!!.....and you may be a girl!!??

This was absolutely one of the most powerful and greatest Rock&Roll albums ever made. In any era. imo 😁

Definitely an overly maligned album. I liked it at the time. Does it stand up to classics like Master of Reality and Heaven and Hell... no. But it has great songs like you said. Trashed, Disturbing The Priest, Born Again and Zero The Hero are all great tunes. The first three being exceptional. I also love Keep It Warm. It's like an amalgam of metal and soul. I think the only one of its kind and I am fine with it closing out the album. I think Hotline is a snoozer. Digital Bitch is a bit generic, but knowing it is about Sharon Osbourne adds some interest. I enjoyed your review.

nailed it .One of most underated Sabbath Album.The line up is great .A very dark heavy album.If u like Sabbath u should appreciate this because after this.The rest of the albums they made should of been solo albums from TONI IOMMI.Glad i got to see them live on this tour.This album the last Sabbath album till they reunited .....

Going backwards with this line-up is not recommended. It sounds exactly like you've been coached to stay away from it.

I've also heard Welcome to My Nightmare but I haven't heard that fully in around 5 years.

Shame this and the AC/DC review was so rushed I didn't check audio levels and both videos have audio levels that are just way off

Update: Shortly after filming this I got a stomach flu and spent the next days in bed listening to said album and my thoughts have already changed from my 1st listen stay tuned for my new thoughts when I do my full review of "Wolves" a few months from now!

You should definitely check out Abominator, it's much more Sabbath and you can actually hear Alex.

In my opinion It's a good album, but doesn't have a single good song. I mean it's consistent and has its own unique feeling, but that's the problem, songs all sound same and have no personality.

The bonus track should have been "Paradise Bar" which is on the 4 song Time for Bedlam sampler CD....

The prog style you describe is due to the 4 keyboards Don Airey uses including a Moog Synthesiser and Steve Morse's guitar style...I recommend you compare this album to the last album, Now What.....I like this album but I give the nod to Now What due to the latter depth of great songs and the tempo. I agree with you opinion on Birds of Prey, Time For Bedlam and The Surprising.

For Johnny's Band It sounds like I said "It has a keyboard solo that I really DISLIKE" I said "I really just like" in case anyone was confused there even I was re watching this.

Love the album. Johnny's Band is total earwurm...so be careful. BY the way....WDWTWA and TBRO are great albums.
