Absolutely loved this movie
The extra eyes on the back of your head sure come in handy in Hollywood films. The protagonists always carry around 3 pairs of eyes.

What a complete waste of time, effort and talent. If ever a movie illustrated the maxim "If it ain't broke don't fix it", it's this one.

Denzel is the man. John Wayne doesn’t have any thing on him. I have been a fan of his since “ Glory”. He can play hero and the bad guy. 😊

No legitimate cowboy ever wears his gun backwards. If he was a true gunman, he had two or three guns it wouldn’t be backwards
Don't be silly. 'Legitimate cowboys' and others wore their guns every which way. Wyatt Earp carried his in a leather-lined pocket of his coat.... And a cavalry carry (butt forward) was actually fairly common. It's the way I carry mine when I'm out Jeeping, because it's more comfortable and accessible from a sitting position. And if you check out historical photo's of Wild Bill Hickock, you'll see he carried his two guns butt forward.
The movies entertaining Denzel is no cowboy, so don’t expect one

The first was a Masterpiece, this was just very good
I actually like this one a little better.
I think it's the editing and composition that sets them apart. The original had more of a slower pace. But had so much character. The landscape also played a huge role in the original.The action in this version is much more furious. So it needs more cuts and transitions. Very enjoyable movie.
Edward Woodward has a time machine.

Love the move, love Denzel but from what I hear this kind of racism didn't exist in the short time that the wild west existed. So it's all kind of redundant.
You heard nothing true then. Of course racism existed - read any decent history of the Frontier years & see how blacks, Chinese, Mexicans, Native Americans were treated. Even the Black cowboys faced it.

See, here in the half of the US states not run by socialists, they have something called Constitutional Carry, which means any adult able to buy a gun can carry it concealed, for protection. So when some miscreant thinks they like what you have more than you do, you can whip it out and instruct him on the error of his ways. Want to take a guess which states have the lowest violent crimes? Or which ones have the most? Well, I’ll cut the suspense for you right now. The states with the lowest violent crimes are all Constitutional carry states. The ones with the highest amount of violent crimes are the ones with strict Democrat gun laws. The bad guys know you won’t be carrying in the blue states, but you might be in those Constitutional Carry states.
