The old Star Wars instruction books with the little CGI figures in cool poses and other sets of the line was an entire bit of fun in itself

I had all of them when I was younger but now I only have shaggy and scoob because they were the only ones I could find

When I was younger I had the Lego mystery machine but I broke some of the parts and ended up donating it, it probably would still be expensive today.

As much as I miss the charm and artwork of the older instruction books, I still enjoy the new ones as they’re very to the point and I don’t have to worry about messing up the artwork when I take apart and rebuild the sets

The lotr and hobbit instruction booklets were and still are my all time favorite

My grandma got me the haunted mansion when I was 4 so sadly it’s destroyed with all the pieces in my Lego bin I lost the head for Velma and scooby doo other than that I think I can rebuild it

As a kid I enjoyed the old instructions now as an adult I enjoy the new instructions because I will only need to use them once so no need to admire the art work

I would love to see this theme come back. So many classic monsters that never got minifigs

I think putting all the gang members in separate sets was, on paper, a smart way to encourage people to buy all of the sets. But I ended up buying one set and it wasn’t even the van. It was the $15-$20 mummy set. I think it would been better if they made one D2C set that was a mansion with the van and included all the figures and an assortment of monsters. It was a different time back then.

You should use those modified tiles that get in between the feet so you don't damage the minifigs.

I never had a Tumbler before nor the minifigs included so I'd say this would be a good first Lego Tumbler. My personal favourite is Two-Face
