Thank you, since the game itself is older you have to edit the contrast, saturation, and exposure. The game engine is pretty old and by default, looks a little bland and aged.

@@ImpaktInevitable Great friend. Yes, I play it, in fact I love the graphics and it has aged very well. I downloaded an pluggin that improves the game's graphics but it didn't work well for me, I know it did for others. So I'm going to configure it as you have it.

No, I'm pretty sure they were trying to heal one another before attempting to self heal. The one I was attacking was surprisingly squishy also, so they could have been new to the game or maybe the class, hard to tell.

Not outrageous player base, but it doesn't feel empty

I believe the player count peaked at just over 1200 a day or two ago. That is not a natural player count but the peaks are rising once again, and with that comes a returning player base. The developers are even creating their own content, they just released a new tier 1 dungeon.

Yes it is a private server, but it is also run by some of the former developers. There is no danger of being shut down as long as they do not try to profit from the game. This server has been going strong for several years.

@@dragonen1847 The player base is rather large, during peak hours the other night, they hit just over 1200 players on a week day. Non-peak hours during the week average about 430-570 players. The game is free to download and play.

I just started a week ago and it seems be around 1000-2000+ ​@@dragonen1847 Been having fun and lot of interesting classes in game. Seems active but I'm just low level. I like that you can quite easily get into pvp whether thats battlegrouns or world pvp type. Granted im still little confused what to do but in having fun and testing characters and trying to settle on couple.

The Warhammer forums actually have some great, straight to the point tips for new players. Just try to keep your renown rank the same level as your player rank, your renown rank determines what PvP gear you can equip, and there is a PvP set for every tier. You can find the PvP gear vendors in both main cities and also war camps, which are located next to the open world PvP areas. Renown is only gained through PvP and it has it's own currency which is used to purchase PvP tier sets. You can also obtain PvE tier sets that are equal to the PvP sets by doing public quests. PvE public quests have their own currency as well, which you will need to obtain PvE gear. Sounds more complicated than it actually is but give it a couple weeks and you'll get the hang of it.

It's the Femerell Shrine in Edengrove, down the road from the Mother Well. It is also the closest shrine to the Mother Well. You should have discovered this shrine while doing the story arc. It sits in the middle of southern Edengrove, diagonal from the lowest shrine.

Healers are quite OP in Warhammer, it's very frustrating. You should a Shaman or Warrior Priest in max tier gear and decked out, it's far worse.

I haven't played much yet but I assume thats what cc and healing debuffs are for. And since the game is balanced around group pvp you'd have multiple dps hopefully ccing and bursting healers. Hopefully.... :D From my understanding Knights don't do nearly any dmg currently and have the lowest dmg of all tanks but they bring very good group buff auras and some aoe cc so ye if anyone is going to have hard time hurting healers its probably going to be knight and other tanks. Hmmm I wish though that knight had decent dps/off tanks spec as 2 hander which you could use soloing in rvr. I've been wondering if I should try Knight and hope they get some buffs later but from what I've heard tank tweaks were done already and its going to be healers next and then DPS. Probably gonna be a long time before tanks get any significant changes. Though I've only played for a week and devoured forum posts and talks around videos etx to gather my info so I can't vouch for everything xD Everyday I change my mind about the class I want to focus on.

@@stebateus7730 My advice is the same advice any player would give you, play what you enjoy the most. If you haven't already, you should give Swordmaster a try, great DPS for a tank class, they become pretty fun around level 19/20. But if you enjoy the look and aesthetics of the kotb then play that class if that is what you like the most.

@ImpaktInevitable ye I will probably try Kotbs soon. I've been trying shadow warrior and marauder lately. Im really most worried about if kotbs just gets boring to play since that seems to be the main things people always say when someone asks about tanks that kotbs and chosen are brain dead easy and boring. I do usually go for the little bit more demanding classes in all games and in this case it would be ironbreaker. Both seem cool aesthetically though. I do wonder if they have about same amount of attack buttons. But IB just has more utility butttons or smth to press? If thats the difference. Or perhaps IB damage rotation takes a bit more focus on keeping up buffs or smth.

@@stebateus7730 Out of all the tanks I have played, IB has been the most fun. kotb and chosen are just like people say, very easy to play, simple rotations. I've played a chosen since retail launch because it was easy to learn and I like the aesthetics. You may enjoy the Blackguard also, they start to get really fun around level 18ish. Kotbs definitely have some of the coolest looking armor and animations though.

I try not to delay by skipping any lengthy intro, those always annoyed me when I first began playing.

That is a sad state indeed, no profit in that. If only AGS were more vigilant in banning these game destroying issues.

I'm still learning as I go, I do have issues with uneven ground a lot and I think that's a big problem also. Will definitely read up on frame generation though, thank you for the advice.

I'm just used to solo play on this toon, not use to grouping with him really and I don't play him that much. I get a hankering for it every now and then though.

It was definitely a better game back in the day, I totally agree. It kind of went downhill into a dumpster fire because they push the new content so hard that no one ever stops to think of enjoying the old content. I enjoyed the game from launch up until Shadowlands, it's been a shame what the new developers have done to the characters, lore, and just about every aspect of the game mechanics.

I despise shamans in RoR, but not as much as a good warrior priest.

Thank you! The only reason I didn't bother to mention or use the Excavator Power Armor is because I was going to do a separate walk-through on how to obtain it and the benefits of using the armor but it kind of fell to the way side.

Hang in there, the population will slowly start to climb back up. They are releasing a combat based update soon which should bring more players back, and it wouldn't hurt if they reduced either the XP requirements to level up professions or reduced the components required to craft items.

Tell me about it, it's utter misery moving several plots of resources over long distances, though it sounds like you had a much longer run. I actually relocated again, but this time it was just about 50 meters up the side of a mountain, still sucked. Horses would be great, I would take an expanded inventory at this point. Hell, even a wheelbarrow.

It's a sad state really, I think they may have had to leave some things out when they launched early access, which in my opinion, has attributed to the mass exodus of players. However, most players rushed during launch week and in doing so, burned themselves out because they didn't stop to explore anything else beyond crafting and building the largest plot. Now new players log on and find little more than massive, empty clan plots, abandoned plots, and rarely run into other players. I don't believe the game is dead by any stretch of the imagination, but the developers really do need to push something out soon that will address current issues while adding to the value of the game.

It will pick up as they release updates, everyone burned themselves out trying to max out all their professions early, on top of clans grinding resources to finish their massive castles and what not. There are many things in the works, just ignore nay-Sayers and play on. Enjoy the game and don't rush.

Server numbers on the WaR web site are pretty accurate, it's usually low on the weekdays. Warhammer is a weekend warrior type of game, that is when you can find the most action on all tiers in open world PvP, scenarios, and dungeons.

@ImpaktInevitable OK cool thank you. I see 483 online now but it is 730am for me oceanic time. I jumped on last night (approx 12hrs ago) doing some t1 RvR in the nord area. Was enough people and I had a great time. I just need to work out gear I'm rank 8.

Gear can be a pain because you level up fast, sometimes to fast, and by the time you actually hit the renown rank you need, you are a few levels higher than the gear requirements. But as an alternative, you can earn PvE gear and PvE tokens from public quests which you can use to buy PvE tier sets, which work just fine in PvP. You can get gear in dungeons as well. To unlock the next tier or complete a current tier gear set, you can have a mix of PvE and PvP gear, any pieces will complete the current tier so you can unlock and start collecting the next tier's gear set. Just wanted to throw that out there I am not sure how much experience you have with the game. Also, some of the war camps that act as quest hubs will have green quality renown gear that require a lower level of renown from the legendary set gear. They are not gear sets, but are suitable fillers.

@ImpaktInevitable Thank you very much. I still don't understand it all. I played the original launch of the game and have just started RoR. I was leveling in the Nord area until lvl 5. Now I am leveling in RVR areas trying to build up my tokens and renown. I do not know where the war camps are with the green renown gear. Are those thr 4 vendors next to each other? I am currently trying to obtain the 3 piece set with war tokens, as well as the renown pieces from the 3 areas. Up until level 16 where I was advised to go do a dungeons, SC? For the set there. Or something like that. Any help would be great.

Yes but it's just a game, existing in a world that is not real. If it were to lean towards trying to alter the religion of the real world within it's boundaries then I wouldn't be playing it. After all, there are many games with made up lore and so called gods that exist in their own little world whom do not impose on the real world. I see no harm with visiting the imagination of someone else's creativity, as long as it stays it's place.

Yes this is Ancien, above Tolosa between the three corners of the Large Quarry, Broken Gate, and Large Ruins. I believe the area is called Armanhae. There are lots of bears to farm for T2 resources and just as many corrupt boar, which are useless as far as I can tell for T2 resources. This area has a vast draw distance that allows you to see for quite a distance, looks amazing during sun down/sun rise.

@@ImpaktInevitable Thought so. I go there for pure iron. Yeah, pretty sure the loud howling is coming from the level 5 dungeon that is in the area. I just wish the corrupt boars dropped something good. They used to drop the mottled larvae.

I've died seven times so far, six times from falling down a steep hill. The run back is quite unpleasant.

I made the mistake of trying that while standing on a large rock formation, turns out bears can climb rocks really fast. I'll have to try the tree approach.

@@ImpaktInevitable Mineral deposits work too. The thing is if you can walk up the rock formation, animals can too. If you can only get on top of it by climbing then you should be safe. Cutting down large trees and standing on the fallen tree work. Standing on top of impure iron or tin deposits work. I take out gray and brown bears on tin deposits.

Someone may have been in there, just do a server hop and go back in. To do a server hop, just log out to the log in screen then log back in and you will be on a different server. As far as re-spawn times go, after looting a bag of cement for example, before you can loot that same bag again within a short period of time you would need to loot 300 of any item that is not a cement resource and scrap it out. To reset spawns in a short period of time I simply go to White Spring and loot everything in sight.

Just give it a few more seconds for the rest of the rocks to fall down after you push the button to start the event, something is wrong with the collision so there is a delay before you can actually enter.

Just play through the story mode and you will be able to unlock new Wayfinders as you progress further, she's not to far down the line.
