Funny story, true story. I first heard this Vandals song when I was a younger lad in the 90's.. I just thought it was a funny Vandals song, as most are. In the last year, I've gone to two Catholic relative funerals, where the fucking choir sang this song... and all I thought was "They're singing the Vandals song"!. I mean, there's no "Happy Birthday, Baby Jesus" during a funeral; but still. To me this is a Vandals song first, then a loving tribute to the Vandals as we celebrate the afterlife of loved ones.

I hope they retired one of Warren's outfits. Also, I once had the teletubby shirt where one of them had a goatee like Warren, gimme a cookie. Oh and I almost got beat up when I was 16 by 20-something year old skinheads at Soma Live 1999 New Year's at San Diego Arena because I bought a Hitler Bad, Vandals Good t-shirt and put it on immediately. Flash forward 24 years and young "punks" who weren't alive during 9/11 like to call me "racist white supremecist bigot etc..." because I questioned vax mandates. LOL!

the number one thing on my bucket list is to go to a vandals Christmas formal. I've got a shirt from the '01 show (i think, but it might be '00 or '02), but that's the closest i've gotten so far. one day i will see this live.

I thought they were all wearing Bad Grandpa style makeup until I remembered that I’m actually 40. We used to laugh about being 40 as kids, like it represented the threshold for being old, boring, and out of touch. Feels like I’m trapped in purgatory, I don’t know how to be an old person. Bad Religion, Vandals, Ben Weasel, even NOFX are all so very old.... Life can be such a cruel Beeyatch.
