What are you talking about. Goku's far smarter than Vegeta. Vegeta let himself be beaten by Yajirobe. He had no excuse losing to the Z fighters, and no business powering up enemies, only to end up freezing and crying like a bubbling baby. Plus, he doesn't fight very smart. Goku has admitted that he plays the part of the idiot. He pretty much proves this in this movie. Goku just knew that there was no point running away, cause Brolly would only end up hunting him down, all the way to Earth. And if Brolly was going to end up killing them all, why not die on your feet, instead of running away and crying. Then again, we are talking about the Prince of all Saiyans, who broke down like a wimp, when he broke his wrist at the hands of Recoome, when Gohan who was a literal kindergartener, was putting up more of a fight, and wasn't backing down. Krillin was crippled. Vegeta has always been an idiot and a coward.

Actually, with the movie setting, it is pretty much canon, as it is set in the 10 days before the Cell Games. It is set after Gohan's birthday/high school equivalency graduation. (He was home schooled) it is confirmed because Chi-Chi is trying to convince a university to take Gohan on as a student, which is essentially confirmed in Bojack Unbound, which is set in the official timeline. Movies like Turles or Slug are non-canon, because it can't fit in the continuity. This one is. Besides, it's fairly consistent of Vegeta to end up this way. Just a slight injury like a fractured wrist takes him down. Meanwhile, Krillin gets paralyzed and a 5 year old Gohan takes so much damage, he's dealing with internal bleeding, almost to the point of collapsed lungs, and still getting up to fight Recoome. And all the times he let enemies power up, then break down crying about how powerful they are.

*Points at Recoome* Look at that fight. Slight wrist fracture, and he folds. Krillin gets paralyzed and Gohan takes so much damage he's body starts to break down, and he's still getting back up. Krillin begs him to help Gohan, but just stays there frozen, crying. *Points to Frieza* Look at that fight. Lets Frieza power up, then turns around flying away, leaving Gohan, Krillin and Dende to fight Frieza off. *Points to Cell* Lets Cell absorb both Androids, shows off with the Final Flash, tries to murder Trunks, and then, when he learns of Cell's true power level. Then breaks down crying. *Points to his first fight* Only kills a crippled Nappa and a Saibaman. He had no right losing that fight, and he found a way. Nappa killed Chaozu, Tien and Piccolo, two powerful foes. Yamcha died to a Saibaman suicide bombing. As for Vegeta... You had a paralyzed Goku, a kindergartener Gohan that keeps going at him, even turning into a big ape, Krillin who thinks he should flee at several points, but doesn't... And Yajirobe. Who cut his tail off, and left a scar on Vegeta's back. He should have never lost that fight. It is definitely consistent with canon dragonball Z.

The real vegeta would never cowardly accept defeat like that. You know these aren't canon. All of the z movies write vegeta terribly since they're not written by toriyama.

@@kyubikaiju7425 doesn't matter. Even though he believes in saiyan tradition, vegeta would still believe that he should be the strongest as he is the prince of the Saiyans. And there's no way a Saiyan prince, who represents their warrior race, would act cowardly. Vegeta always strives to be the perfect example of the Saiyan race, and accepting defeat like that would be an insult. Vegeta shouldn't have cowered in fear waiting to die. Vegeta himself says, "Surrender is an outcome far worse than defeat"

@@alatusedits Actually, there is a track record of Vegeta being cowardly like that. And Brolly, Cooler and Bojack all actually fit in the timeline. If you look at the battle against Recoome, how at the first injury, he pretty much gives up, then you have Gohan that doesn't give up against Recoome. When he powers up both Frieza and Cell, he cracks yet again. And he has a habit of powering up enemies. As much as these three movies are not written by Toriyama, they remain true to the timeline, and can fit in perfectly. (Gohan graduated with a high school diploma at the same time as his birthday in the 10 days before the Cell Games, and in the Brolly movie, Chi-Chi is trying to get Gohan signed up for university. In Bojack, it is referenced that Gohan spent an entire semester just doing schoolwork by Chi-Chi, and she's happy for Gohan to be back in the ring.) Let's face it. Vegeta does have a track record of cowardice and idiocy. He's also been raised with an elitist mindset, similar to Frieza, and has actually not represented Saiyans since the planet blew up. He abused Radditz, tried to murder Goku, killed Nappa, (who raised him) and he pretty much beat himself up in the fight on Earth.

He learned that Shin was a Supreme Kai, someone that is extremely powerful, that really isn't someone to poke a stick at. It'd be like Yusuke when he starts training with Genkai to pick a fight against King Yama. You just don't do that. That, and Shin wasn't there to kill Piccolo. Brolly on the other hand, is a legit threat, and when the chips were down, Piccolo kept fighting, while Vegeta just cracked. Like that time against Recoome, when Vegeta just had a fractured wrist, and broke down, while Gohan kept getting back up.

If you saw prime Mike Tyson beating the shit outta your friends that are all on the same level of strength as you, would YOU jump in? Vegeta was the only one with common sense or self-preservation.
