Welcome to my channel. This is a video about cross stitch, knitting, cakes and books. I hope you enjoy it! No editing this time - I am a complete technophobe so just filming and uploading was enough for my first time....
Yes, Copenhagen is in Denmark- the capital city. I will look out for this book. Cake looks lush. Very clever to squirrel a slice away! I've never seen 'Die Hard', perhaps this should be the year 😊 Best of luck with your wip plans (sound very sensible), and Happy Christmas to you.
@@karenjorgen-jensen827 I knew it was - I don't know why I started second-guessing myself! You should definitely watch Die Hard - I think Bruce Willis is rather lush in it - as long as you don't mind a bit of violence. Hope you have a fabulous Christmas!
You have such beautiful finishes. I love the Die Hard piece. Yes! Die Hard is a Christmas movie 😆 The Santa turned out super good, all the endeavour were worth it. The birthday cake looks delicious. Thanks for sharing your stitching, reading and baking with us.
@@CarlaStitchesNStuff thanks so much for watching again. Hope you have a fabulous Christmas x
Hi Keeley! Yay to Spring on Locke Lane - let's get a start date in and maybe that will give your pillow a focus to finish! Message soon xx
@flossysewsandgrows I think my Autumn pillow should be a quick win - how about Sunday 5th or Monday 6th January?
Loved watching this video Keeley ❤️
Thank you for sharing all your stitching progress. Really enjoyed your video. Beautiful coloured cake Happy stitching 😊❤
@elizabethaston4434 Thank you! I'm so grateful that you watch and comment regularly. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
Great to catch up!! Our bedroom is “beach” themed - so my seagull went perfectly in there!! It’s lovely to stitch!
@@jennywilson5909 ooh, I like the sound of a beach themed bedroom! Thank you for watching.
The Mill Hill you're stitching is absolutely gorgeous. I especially love the colors 😍 And the Anemone is already looking fabulous. Ah, yes! I, too, fell into that trap of not realizing how big a pattern is 😅 The knitted socks are fabulous, I really like the pattern. I might need to get it later. I really enjoyed your video while crocheting ❤ Thank you
@@CarlaStitchesNStuff Thanks for watching! Yes, they are stunning colours - I'm looking forward to having my little pumpkin hanging up next Autumn.
Great video! Really enjoyed it 😊. I had the same experience with the Caterpillar CS Christmas SAL last year but I finished it this year and love it! Your Hannah Lynn full coverage has such gorgeous colours. I’ve heard a lot about cxc but haven’t tried them yet so good to know. Happy Stitching!
Hi- I watched you for the first time today and enjoyed it very much. I like that you stitch aida, too!
@@BonnieMBlack Hi! Thank you so much for watching. I really enjoy having some aida projects - I find them a bit more relaxing for evening stitching.
@cakesandstitches I think stitching on aida is more relaxing for me, too. Look forward to your next video.
Really enjoyed your stitching update. Look forward to seeing future videos Happy stitching 😊❤
@@elizabethaston4434 thank you for watching - I really appreciate it. It's so nice to talk about my stitching and chat to people who like the same thing as me!
@cakesandstitches that's the one reason I watch flosstube videos. I don't know anyone, friends or family who crossstitch or craft. So I feel like I'm making a connection with like minded people, if that makes any sense Happy stitching 😊❤️
Great progress on your Halloween pumpkin! The colours look so vibrant and lovely! Wonderful projects. Happy stitching! X
@@stitchinbeeee thanks Ellie - you totally inspired me!
@cakesandstitches Aww I'm glad!
Beautiful framed finish. Hope you reach your christmas stitchy goals. Time seems to fly, especially at this time of year - so much to think about! I like Nigella cakes too. I'll be making her licorice and blackcurrant cake for my husband's birthday in a couple of weeks.
@@karenjorgen-jensen827 ooh, licorice and blackcurrant? I've not heard of that one - it sounds delicious! Yes, there is a fair bit of mental overload at this time of year - lucky we have got stitching to keep us calm.
@cakesandstitches it's in her book 'Simply Nigella'.
@@karenjorgen-jensen827 I'm not sure I have that book, but have just found the episode on BBC iplayer, so I'll have a watch later.
Thank you for keeping me company while I frogged a project. You've got some lovely wips on the go. I'll have to check out the book recommendation, too. Happy stitching 🪡
@@Stitchysquirrels oh dear, I hope you didn't have to frog too much! Thanks for watching.
Lovely to finally manage to catch up and seeing all your stitching and plans! Crescent Colours is the old name for Classic Color Works so you might already have the thread you need! Happy stitching x
@@flossysewsandgrows oh! I had no idea about Crescent Colours - thank you for telling me. I just finished watching your video while doing the kids breakfast this morning. It sounds like you had a fabulous time at SIL - really want to try to get there next year. Belated Happy Birthday too!
@cakesandstitches thank you! Being 50 isn't too bad lol. Xx
Hi Keeley, really enjoyed seeing all your stitching progress Happy stitching 😊❤

Hi Keeley, enjoyed seeing your progress on all of your projects. Particularly love the red anniversary sampler. It is gorgeous! I love Quaker designs too and thoroughly recommend Monarch Quaker. I couldn't stop stitching once I started it and love having it out on display. Great idea to bake along with the GBBO! Happy stitching! X
@@stitchinbeeee thanks Ellie! Did you stitch the model for Monarch Quaker? It is really beautiful 😍
@@cakesandstitches Nope, it was Charly who did the model, but I stitched it as soon as it came out on patreon release 😂
Hello, nice to see you again. Your wips are all coming along nicely! Looking forward to seeing you start the birds chart. The cake looks delicious 😋
@@karenjorgen-jensen827 thanks Karen! I ordered some fabric for the birds yesterday so hoping to start it fairly soon...
I love what you’ve done with your Autumn Pillow colours!!! For your coffee cup/apples dilemma, could you stitch in the colours like you have laid out already (cup in orange, apples in brown) but stitch one apple in the orange colour, and maybe the swirl above the cup brown to bring the colours in that way without messing with the layout of the colours?
@@TalkingDogStitcher ooh, I like that idea! Thanks Rachel - I'll give it a try.
Hi. I just found your flosstube and great video. I was just wondering what the name of the pattern is for your finished pillow. I love it
@@Canadianstitchygirl Hi! Thanks for watching. It's the Prim Alphabet Sampler by Frog Cottage Designs. Here's the link www.frogcottagedesigns.com.au/product-page/prim-alphabet-sampler-1 Hope it works! The pattern has some floral elements around the edge and is much softer colours, but I adapted it to suit our room.
@@cakesandstitches thank you so much. It looks fabulous
Lovely video as always. You have made a great progress on the felines. P.s. quaker designs are highly addictive 😃
Great video 😍 Lovely to catch up with what you have been doing. Aww' the fantastic felines pattern is going to look fabulous, I love it already. The colours on the Anemone are PERFECT 😍 I look forward to seeing your progress. I know fancy ladies can be intimidating, but 1 X at the time 😁 That cookie looks delicious, shame I don't like baking 😅 I look forward to your next video for you , and thanks for sharing your beautiful WIPs
@@CarlaStitchesNStuff thank you for watching and for your lovely comments. I've started Anemone and taking your advice I will just tackle it one X at a time.
Lovely video again! Great to see the project bags you've made - I really want to start having a go at that too! That Jardin Prive chart is gorgeous 😍. Happy stitching!! X
@@stitchinbeeee it's really gorgeous isn't it? I'm toying with the idea of changing the colours to reds but have plenty of time to think about it. I used ElizabethAnnCanStitch tutorials for the bags and found them really easy to follow.
@cakesandstitches Oh wow it would look fabulous in red! Lots of people seem to have used that tutorial so I'm hoping to give it a try too 😊
Loved seeing all your stitching progress and listening to your stitching plans. Happy stitching 😊❤
Nice to see you again. I agree, quakers are lovely to stitch. I stitched that same chart for my own 10th wedding anniversary, with a few adaptations. I hope your parents will love their special sampler.
@@karenjorgen-jensen827 I've see yours on your Instagram - it's lovely! I was inspired to make a few changes, as you did, to make it more relevant. Thanks for watching!
Love seeing what you are stitching on. I’m not stitching fancy ladies but have started on Nora Corbett’s 12 Days of Christmas.
@@AlisonBanerjee-ht1oo Hi Alison! Is it Alison from the sampler retreat? Thank you for watching!
Hi. It is indeed. I have been watching from your first flosstube, I just tend to lurk but not comment!
@@AlisonBanerjee-ht1oo how are you? I did email you a while back, to see how you're getting on with the sampler we were stitching. I haven't touched mine fir a while - I really don't like the fabric - but I will finish it eventually!
Great to catch up Keeley! I loved stitching For Thee (just took me a long time with all my other projects lol). I love your choice of colours for it. Happy Stitching! xx
@@flossysewsandgrows thanks Sally! Yours looks fabulous - hopefully mine will be just as good.
@@cakesandstitches I am sure it will!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your WIPs are so adorable. The Autumn Pillow is going to look so good in the Chinese Lantern colorway. I honestly really like it. I'm a bit late to wish you a happy holiday, but I hope you had a great time. Thanks for sharing your WIPs and video. I really enjoyed and loved watching it. Relaxing 😌
@@CarlaStitchesNStuff thank you so much for watching and for your k8nd words. The Autumn pillow is stitching up nicely, but I've ended up alternating with a darker brown to make sure I've got enough thread and to tone it down a bit!
Thanks for popping in for a quick update. Hope the teacher likes her fab bookmark. Have a lovely holiday!
@@karenjorgen-jensen827 she loved it - I'm so pleased! Thank you!
Oh I saw the Scattered Seeds Samplings one of Elaine's in person on Saturday! It is really lovely so I am sure you will enjoy stitching it! xx
Have a great holiday, happy stitching 😊❤
Enjoy your holiday!
The quality of your stitches are very really nice. Great job! 🥳
Ah, that's really kind - thank you!
❤❤❤
Brilliant WIP parade! I really enjoyed seeing all your projects. I'm thinking about starting the up up and away kit soon. It is really lovely 😍 x
Thank you Ellie! I really enjoyed filming it - it was lovely to get everything out and remind myself of some of the projects I've not touched for a while.
Lovely to catch up with you! Pleased you are joining us to stitch Light! xx
I'm really looking forward to it! Already have a fabric picked and will be getting my DMC over the weekend. Thanks for watching.
You have really lovely WIPs but I know what you mean about some just not calling to you for now. Still lots to put stitches in though. Glad to have you join Sally and me as we start Light on 26th!
I'm looking forward to it - have had Light on my to-stitch list for a while!
Thank you for showing all your wips, very enabling, not that i need any encouragement. Really enjoyed your video 😊❤
Thanks for watching - I'm glad you saw some things you like!
🐴🐴🐴
Thanks for showing your wips, it was fun and interesting to see them all. I love your colourful cat, he's very groovy! It's a shame about your lost haed. I think if that was me, I'd forget about that one completely. Or restart it from scratch. 'The Garden of Lost and Found' sounds like a really good read. You might enjoy 'Paper Cup' by Karen Campbell. I've just finished it and it is SO good! I'm trying out your cake recipe today. Oh, and btw, everything you show is coming out backwards on the screen.
Thanks for watching and commenting Karen! (And for the book recommendation - I'll look it up). I think you're right about the HAED, but it seems such a waste as so many hours have gone into it. I'm not sure how to fix the backwards thing - something new to learn there for next time. Enjoy the cake!
Oooh we have a Nigella banana and fudge muffin recipe from her Express cook book that we use all the time. It is soooo easy and there are always banana's in need of a cake to go in in our house! Don't worry about the description box - I'm not sure how many people read them..... I usually copy and paste it from video to video (on laptop rather than phone) and just update it a bit! Happy Stitching! xx
Thanks Sally - somebody else said similar about the description. That muffin recipe sounds amazing - I think I might have the Nigella Express book so will definitely check it out if I find it!
Just found your channel. I'm also new to flosstube. Love your crafts, including your elephant planned start.
Thanks for watching! I'll add your channel to my 'to watch' list.
Lovely video. I really enjoyed stitching the all things grow with Love stitch along. It's gorgeous when it's finished. I wouldn't worry about the description box, I very rarely look at them 🙂
Thank you for watching! If I'm honest, I don't tend to look at them either - I just Google if somebody mentions something I'm interested in. I guess it just feels like I should because other people do.
@cakesandstitches just keep doing what you're doing 🙂. I've seen a few bigger channels recently, not having a big list of things in the description box. I'm already looking forward to your next video 🙂
Another lovely video! Really inspired by all of your Emma Congdon projects. I've had all her books for a while now and need to stitch something from them. They are full of gorgeous designs! Your William Morris book was a great find! There is actually a William Morris cross stitch one, which I bought from Ebay for only a few pounds 😊 Looking forward to your next video! Happy stitching x
Thank you! I'll have to keep an eye out for the William Morris cross stitch book. I've also had the other Emma Congdon books for ages and haven't stitched anything from them. Might plan a Stitchrovia summer....
Nice content, lovely projects so keep going! You are lovely to listen to, the William Morris book was a great find!!! I particularly liked the description of the birds, "in a bit of a strop" is a great phrase and one I don't hear much here in California!!! I am from Bolton but have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 35 years and it was great to hear that phrase!!! Nice to find you.
Thank you for such kind comments! I'm glad you enjoyed it. San Francisco is on my travel bucket list - I'm overwhelmed knowing somebody is watching from so far away!
Lovely to see you back. Beautiful finishes, really enjoyed seeing all your stitching progress. I envy you knitting socks. Iv been knitting for years but never had the courage to knit socks. Happy stitching 😊❤
Thank you for coming back! You should give socks a try - they're not as hard as they look. Winwick Mum has a fantastic tutorial, which is how I knit my first pair.
Thank you for that advice. I might get brave and watch a RUclips video to learn how to make some socks 😊
I just found your videos and really enjoyed watching them both. Great variety of stitching and I love your cake recommendations too. I love to bake as well as cross-stitch too. 🧁
Thank you so much for watching! I love nothing more than sitting down with a homemade cake, a cup of tea and some cross stitch or knitting - complete relaxation!
Great to meet you and see the projects that you are working on!
Thanks for watching!
Fabulous 2nd video ! loved seeing all your progresses , look forward to next one ! x
Thank you so much for watching! I'm finding it very motivating, knowing I need some progress to share with other people.
Just found you this morning and watched both your Flosstubes. Great variety of stitching. Be careful with Yas as she is a massive enabler 🤣🤣🤣Happy Stitching!
Thank you for watching and thank you so much for the shout out on your video!
