    Love the build, can't wait to do the same to my new-to-me defender. Something different from the $100k+ builds that dominate the RUclips search results!

    Good to see you use washable nappies or diapers would be more convenient to use disposable ones but they cost more to the planet and the purse. Disposable nappies would be an extra disposal problem if far from a camp site

    Awesome build! Only two questions: How did you put in seat belts, and how did you do your framing/cabinet/counter building? thanks!

    From what I can tell, North Campground is all First Come until the middle of May. Was it hard to get a campsite?

    • @ThoseMotherTuckers
      @ThoseMotherTuckers 9 месяцев назад

      We booked 1 night at north campground but sunset campground was first come when we were there. We were there in August and North campground was really busy while Sunset was very open! There is also some excellent free camping outside the park where we stayed a few nights as well: N 37°43.767', W 112°14.668'

    I love how your visit to Arches looks so relaxed, I am a little nervous about the crowds. We are planning a trip to Zion, Arches in the Spring. I would love to know where you camped.

    • @ThoseMotherTuckers
      @ThoseMotherTuckers 9 месяцев назад

      Arches was fantastic and super relaxed! There is loads of free camping around Moab- I recommend using the app iOverlander to check out a few spots. There are also several campsites around the area. We often opt to free camp but depending on your setup it can sometimes be worth it to pay for camping. This is where we camped outside of arches: N 38°45.544', W 109°43.563' It’s just opposite the airport and there is SO MUCH room. In Zion we camped at South Campground for 3 nights and it was definitely worth it! It was right at the bottom of the canyon and there was easy access to the shuttles and walking/bike paths. Both parks will likely be busy but don’t let that turn you away! We loved them 🥰

    Something you hear a lot as a new parent is ‘just wait’ Just wait until the baby starts teething… Just wait until the baby stops sleeping… Just wait until the baby starts getting into everything… But you know what I wish I would have heard? Just wait until they giggle for the first time.. Just wait until they say mama… Just wait until they start grabbing their cute little feet… Aupi is only 8 months old and already has 8 teeth. I couldn’t tell you when exactly those teeth came in, I know she had a hard time but that memory hasn’t stuck. She still has yet to sleep through the night once but I know this season won’t last. She also gets into everything these days but I don’t know the last time I spent more than 5 minutes picking up her toys. I do however, remember that first giggle on the bathroom floor. She’s only just started saying what sounds like mama and I’m not quite sure she understands the meaning yet. My heart still smiles every time I hear it. And the feet grab. Cuteness overload 😍 You get to choose your journey as a new parent. Don’t let others reflect their negative experiences onto yours. It’s hard, yes but it’s also perspective. Just wait until you look back on these days- what do you want to remember?

    Okay hear me out. First of all, we LOVED Yellowstone! However, we found it the most difficult to navigate with a family so far and here’s why: 🐻The park is GIGANTIC so it feels nearly impossible to see all the things you want without a car to get around, which we don’t have. We can always drive the bus but it’s not as easy- especially in a place where people are CONSTANTLY pulling off the road to view the beautiful landscape and wildlife. 🐻 That being said, being in a car with small children isn’t a great time and if you disagree I’d love for your kid to give my kid a few tips about car etiquette. Seriously though, if you want to see everything it would be a full day of in and out of the car. 🐻There aren’t any bike paths!! And hardly any hikes from the campsites- so again you have to drive. 🐻We’ve been to other parks with similar issues but they offer a shuttle service which Yellowstone does not have. However we did talk to a ranger about this who informed us the person in charge of the park doesn’t want to ruin/take out the natural habitat to put a large parking lot in that would have to accommodate for all the cars taking the shuttle, which I very much respect. Don’t get me wrong, in terms of wildlife and landscape we loved this park. I mean, we saw 6 BEARS on day one but it’s not the park I would recommend for families with small children. Let me know what you think!

      Hi, I found my information here www.evolveseries.com/about-us/blog/41737-how-much-water-does-an-average-household-use.html#:~:text=What's%20typical%3F,gallons%20per%20person%20per%20day. You can also have a read from this one which suggest people actually use about 100 gallons per day! 😱 water.phila.gov/pool/files/home-water-use-ig5.pdf Happy to read any contradicting information you find 👍🏼 I thought 60 gallons was high too

  • @harrisonhowell6778
    @harrisonhowell6778 Год назад

    Ain't no way I'm using 60 gallons a day. My water heater only holds 25 and it gives a 15-20 minutes warm shower. And I dont use very many dishes, and im gone most of the day so not to much flushing. I might use 30 tops but I'm a single guy that works all the time so

I wanted to do it myself but the engineering has been to mutch for me. Would it be possible to help me with plans and pics in order for me to do the pop-top myself? I'm in South Africa 🙂
