Hey, for me it isn’t my mic volume but my stream volume. I have my settings max volume but my friends say my stream is too quiet. I know it’s sonar related but I have no idea how to fix. No idea where to ask either

Worst, hands down, headset I have ever owned. Pure

Try these two things that helped me. The mic sound went from very low to very good. 1. Connect the dongle directly to a USB-C port. This is problematic because the dongle's design will make some of your other ports inaccessible. 2. Connect the dongle to the USB-C to USB-A cable, but switch USB-A port and see which one sounds better. Strange, but worked for me. But I had connected the dongle via the USB-C to USB-A cable to my machine and the mic sound was very low. I connected the dongle directly to a USB-C port and the mic sound issue was fixed. I connected it back to the original USB-A port and it went low again. But connecting it to a different USB-A port fixed the issue. This is strange considering both USB-A ports are the same according to my motherboard's manual.

I've had so many people tell me I've been "too quiet" since getting the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless headset, and while this does help (and thank you so much as I never would've tried this!!) I think this mic is just really bad. I will be upgrading to a better one eventually... I wish I could say you get what you pay for, but clearly not :'D

This fixed it! For the most part. It still doesn't make sense that it's required to compress your voice.. upward...? lol That's why I hadn't tried it before but a buddy in a call just confirmed it while I toggled it back and forth. Thankss!

This headset is complete garbage. I had the same issue, everyone was complaining. Tried to fix it through that stupid engine amd my mic hasn't been working at all since that. With or without sonar on. Nothing will fix it.

would this work for arctis 1 wireless as well?

Want to add - cause I just found this out - my pop filter was hiding which way my microphone tip was pointing. Looking at the Steel Series website, this microphone is very direction sensitive. I took the pop filter off of my microphone and found out my mic was pointing down toward the floor. A simple turn where the actual mic was pointing at my mouth increased microphone quality by like 100%. This video, along with a simple mic twist (I am leaving the pop filter off as there isn't a notable difference in my opinion) has me back to loving this headset. Let me know if this helped anyone!

Your over all video is very quite. I use Davinci Resolve. it has great built-in audio tools to help keeps on a good level. But i will be tuning on my compressors and giving it a shot. I noticed while im recording that my voice is quite then ill realize that my voice is quite so ill talk louds. it makes post editing a pan in the butt lol. 😀

I have recently gotten the arctis nova pro wireless and am lost when it comes to the immense customization, the presets work well but I feel that gunshots and footsteps arent as loud as they were with Astro A40s and not sure where to start with the Sonar settings?

I posted this on your reddit post at first but I guess this might help more people here so I'm reposting this comment here. I received my Arctis Nova 7 today and had the exact same problem as you. Super quiet mic. I was beginning to despair here... But I fixed it accidentally in the weirdest way possible. This makes zero sense to me, but anyway, I'll leave it here because it migh help someone. It's not the exact same headset as you, but who knows! It's wireless and the dongle is USBC. I was trying them in my Win10 gaming PC. Sonar installed. Mic is quiet everywhere. I spend a couple of hours reviewing the support, FAQ, reddit, everything from windows settings to mic positioning and Sonar settings. Nothing improved it. I even set the gains to +12dB in most frequencies in the equalizer. It improved a bit but still super quiet. Soooo... I noticed the dongle is USBC, so I went, might as well try to use this in my Android phone: So I connected the wifi dongle in my Android Phone, sure enough it recognizes the headset as a normal USBC headset for phones, and I send a voice message through Whatsapp and it's surprising how the mic sounded loud and clear. WHAT?! So I took the dongle and plugged it on my work laptop, which is Win11 and has nothing installed when it comes to games or sonar or whatever... I use it to send a Whatsapp voice message using the desktop client. Again... Mic is loud and clear. At this point my head is fuming with theories regarding Windows versions, drivers, USB ports, sonar, and so on. I connect the dongle to my Win10 gaming PC again with sonar and the works: Mic is... Loud and Clear. I have no idea what the hell happened. But I guess the solution might have been just plugging the dongle in other systems and then back. If you have a chance, try this and let us know if it worked for you too. The mic was at first sounding as it was in your video, super quiet. But now it's just a normal mic, so much louder than it is even in the end of your video!

Weird problem I found a fix turn headset on once connected disconnect dock then plug back in. The mic easily doubles in vol……very annoying

Another fast thing to do is do nightmare containment and equip either red borders or crafted weapons at the end oh the activity. It give 50 % per red border and 30 % per crafted. Plus the end rewards have a chance to give ascendant alloys
