Everyone on table two should calculate how much $ they have lost of the years because of the pay difference compared to table one. Take that amount and go to a union meeting and ask what the hell has the NALC been doing for the past 10 years. They constantly say it will be better next contract but it never does. If this contract passed, the union will say be don’t pul your dues. We will do better next contract. Same old crap

I’m a cca and have been for 2 months now in Virginia. On top of getting a route I don’t know all the time my dps was super out of order. They tell me to follow the mail. But how do I do that if the dps is out of order and I don’t know the route?
You follow the flats. If you have no flats to help out the dps in order you cut the swing and drive off packages. When you cut the swing you call management and tell them you had to cut because of the dps out of order. When you get back they give you a sheet to fill out.
You go into the office case your mail and leave. Don’t stick around just take your office Time and get out. Simple. The less time you spend around management the better off you will be
Because the NALC leadership is nutless! Management like a lot of the clipboard holders are deadweight! If you don't transport, sort, or deliver, you should be paid minimum wage like you deserve. As a carrier, I hate these condescending pos who blame us for everything. Can't stop to pick your nose without being questioned for a stationary event! Sick of this crap.

I found out yesterday that my office supervisor has been lying to customers about carriers. A customer had her package scanned as "no access" at 5:13pm, and she said called the next day, the supervisor told her it was because the cariers are lazy and decided to go home for the day. Our supervisor has been investigated multiple times for sending new CCAs out with hundreds of packages to scan as no access and come back to the office. He does this so he can go home early, but his computer system is cleared. That is direct and malicious degradation of the relationship between carriers and customers

Good day sir. I think you used the phrase verbatim “I agreed to those terms” as it has to do with work rules and our contractual agreement. Right? When you, me and everyone else who went to the USPS and asked them for a job didn’t we agree to the terms and conditions of our employer? Yes we did. So why are RUclips carriers like you hoping on the clown letter carrier bandwagon who would financially destroy the NALC and all letter carriers including themselves? You do realize you will make the most money, spend the most time and have your pension based on your high 3 at top pay. Can you explain to me why these carriers are touting a 1.3% annual increase every year for 3 1/2 years yet by the end of the contract we will receive cumulative increases of 11.5%? You are on the wrong side sir and if you are looking at putting in only 30 years and the clown letter carriers get their way the $1,856.00 your pension will be as per the current FERS retirement chart and the $1,600.00 supplement will not go far. After heath insurance, life insurance and taxes your pension will be gone. I wouldn’t throw in with that crew. They aren’t worried about you they are worried about themselves,
Just so you are aware there is no 10 hour list. There is a 10 hour preference. When you sign up for the OTDL you are expected to work 12 hours so before they force a non OTDL carrier to pivot they can work a “10 hour preference” list carrier to work 12 hours.

I’d love to be on and discuss how you believe a CCA who would benefit now should VOTE NO to help Regulars who PURPOSELY make our job more difficult all while making THOUSANDS MORE … explain to me how I should wait and suffer more so regulars can get more money and benefits when they already have A LOT.. why do you promote greed ? You started as PTF so you don’t know what it’s like to live off 19 an hour but hear people make 25+ 30+ complain how they don’t get paid enough to do the work that CCA’s finish for them since non of them can ever complete thier OWN route
Whatever alternative universe you're living in my friend, good luck, I have done nothing but be sent out to help CCA's finish their work over the last decade so there you go, and promoting greed is far from the message I'm putting out, you seem to have a very gaslighting and angry way about yourself so maybe you should look into something new instead of coming on here and creating dialogue that wasn't said kind of like how management does... hey, there's a good idea, join management...your just what they're looking for👌

This is my theory...Upper district level management get hired into their positions. They're being told how horrible of a job their predecessor's have done. "The post office has been a sinking ship for over 30 years etc... We hired YOU, and are paying YOU a really nice 6 figure salary to sort this out. You're a college bachelors fancy schamncy whatever so we have really high expectations for you sir..ma'am. See ya next quarter, better have some good stuff to show if you want to keep that chair..." Ok. . So these people probably have never carried mail before. They've never worked at a local level office. They've been scouted from other companies because they have a good resume and know someone who knows someone. And they come into this job with this mind set, "I'm the new sheriff in town. I'm going to reinvent the wheel and set some new rules and standards. It's going to be by the numbers, for the numbers, black and white, no exceptions...let's tighten the belts and start a whipping these donkey's into shape!!! That's one end of the candle wick. Meanwhile burning on the other end is the supervisor. Maybe they were carriers who grew tired of being a carrier. or maybe they're newbs who are extremely ambitious that got to skip right into being a supervisor. Either way, they both know carrying a route is a rut they don't want to get stuck in. It doesn't matter...because they're rocks about to turned into sand. You have these two opposite forces. Demands and expectations from the top Brass above them and then the reality and suckage of the operations at the carrier level below them. The supervisor/postmasters get the squeeze since they are in an impossible position of an unmovable rock hitting an unstoppable force. It turns them into scream toxic, belligerent people to those they manage. "It's not going to be my job!! because of these missing scans!! Their boss's are stubborn, ignorant and misguided to the needs and facts of this "service". It's a mail service. Not a package business. It's not Amazon. It shouldn't be modeled after amazon. The USPS is a broken system of ideocracy and toxicity enabled with big brother technology, favoritism, and turning a blind eye to issues that need fixing but don't want to touch with a 10 foot pole. So someone is going to take the blame "and it's not going to be me!" says every boss of the boss of the boss. And it alllllll trickles down to the carrier, the last link in the chain before the customer to rest every problem of the postal system on their shoulders of blame when more often than not those are the people who are going above and beyond and the one person who mostly do their job exceptionally well all things considered like dealing with impossible standards, low pay, 40 year old trucks and being liable to mitigate every problem to fix as to uphold the illusion to the customers that the entire postal service is a smoothly run system of 200 years of refined perfection...lol when it reality it's like a duck on a pond. That is to say, above the water it serenely floats while under the water it's constantly kicking it's feet like crazy to stay afloat.
Every day can be drastically different in when it comes to volume labor and time needed. Management doesn't want to hear any of it. To them, your job is like playing a two pixel game. You put the red dot in the black hole. Job done. I don't want to hear any excuses. Make it happen. The weather is always 65 and perfect. The employee is a robot that is at their beck and call 24/7. Mail is always 10 letters of exact shape and size. And 25 Cents an hour is their "forever" paycheck of labor costs.

My station is short handed because an ahole carrier was hand picked and made a supervisor and made 3 Ccas quit. This guy throws out “I’m giving you a direct order” non stop. He was moved from another station while being trained. Now he’s our problem and he should never be able to be a supervisor. The union does nothing. He’s causing the older carriers to get severely high blood pressure, with two having an ambulance called. Union does nothing. This new management style where they walk around and watch us like prison guards has to stop. Our hours are down this year also. I average 180 packages to 240 and we get no help. Then lately they won’t approve adequate overtime. People have lost all faith in union.

This is completely unacceptable. Where is all of the money going? These llvs were commissioned for 25 years of service. They are way past that deadline. That is a safety issue for a place that preaches safety. It's laughable honestly.
You brought up a good point about the Tsp. If table 2 is struggling now what does that say about their future? Inflation is a middle class killer. In 30 years your Tsp and fers likely won't be enough to survive on with this trajectory. Somebody in arbitration needs to do a deep dive on this issue alone. People don't work at the USPS for the job. It's the pension that is the golden ticket. Everyone is being sold a lie at these absurdly low wages and top step times.

The reason why there’s so much conflict between management and carriers is because every day management gets on the Telecon and they get instructions on how to micromanages the union needs to be one step ahead of this
As a union steward I was invited to their morning put down sessions. I think they were trying to co-opt me into management (no thanks) It was something. The different station managers would shade the truth about how good or bad they’d be and then the PM or their MCSOs would steal or give PTFs from stations. It was toxic

Table 2 is killing us. A carrier is a carrier is a carrier. Equal pay for the same work. Renfraud betrayed all of us.
We have lost tens of thousands being on table 2. The nalc runs on hopium and not results. 10 years in and they been saying next time we will do better. They are playing catch up and really are not trying to get us a head.

A lot of carries complain like you .. “There’s no OT anymore “ then switch to “this job is hard I wanna spend time with my family “ make up your mind. do you want more work or more time with family? REGULARS DO THIS ALL THE TIME … there not one solid stance… and let’s not blame management for REGULARS that are lazy or maybe not lazy but should not be doing the job cause they physically can’t and it cause more work for everyone else. The culture is bad because of BAD Regulars
And people need to stop worrying why others get treated better .. maybe they are just better employees 🤷🏽♂️ those asking themselves that need to shut up and step it up. Actions speak louder than words. 👏🏼

I haven’t watched the video but honestly it has to do with the union !!! They want the toxicity because with out it we wouldn’t need the union presence so much I’ve been pivoted against man agent and never understood why
