Yes! 👍 it had a temp repair then 1st attempt at a “real” repair, then another temp repair (so the water could be on all week) then on the second weekend with the help of smarter people, I finally found what I needed for a correct, modern connection 🤗

Illegal tire repair
while not recommended as a permanent fix, rope plugs are still legal :) from what I gather from DOT and a state search the movement away from them doesn't even have to do as much with patch plugs being better as much as it's because tire companies want the tire removed from the rim to inspect for damage before they will warranty...thats why patch plugs have become industry standard. if you have NV state documentation that says otherwise please send a link :)

This was really helpful, thanks! I've been thinking of making a phone charger powered by a Stirling engine to have as a conversation piece, and I'd seen these models of desktop Stirling engine online; I had my doubts as to whether they could effectively charge a phone, especially since they never list their brake power, so it's very useful information that I'll need one of the two-cylindered models at least.
