I had the same problem. I am size 16 but this pattern is way too small. Happily, my first try was to make a nightgown. So it is still okay.

What a haul! That thread is big bargain! You saved yourself a ton of money. I wish there was estate sales near me, but haven’t found any so far.

Love your video. I have the same machine but , its the 4832C. I'm having trouble trying to figure out where to oil it. As the manual shows it for 4830 and 4832 singer machines. My top does not come off. Any help greatly appreciated Thank you

The back really looks great. I am making quilts right now from some of my scraps. Fitting myself is always a challenge. I make muslins most of the time before I cut into good fabric.

I couldn’t see how long the top was in the back when you stood up.Then I thought about it & I guess it would depend on you height . I have been listening to TC Garage for a long time. I do listen to Murdoch .I have a good one as well.it is called Unfound , listened to this on since his #1 because he had another podcast before this.

I have made this 3 times and all look fabulous. I noticed yours is pulling under the arms and on the shoulders and I think this is a result of the alterations you made. I watched your video as both my sister and I found that the front and back seams that join onto the sides, the back and front are always at lease a centimetre longer. Easily corrected when doing the hem. Also with the button front, the self facing sloped up quite sharply and does not match the line of the neck. I thought I was losing it and couldn't work out why it was cut this way. Still have not worked it out, just cut it off to match the neckline. Looks good with sleeves as well. I made a size according to my high bust measurement.
