Can I get this oily mess to run as good as it looks? Vintage Titus Swiss Watch Service
In this video I will be servicing a Vintage Titus Swiss mechanical watch. This one is running intermittently and loses time. On opening it up, it was covered in old, congealed oil.
Have a look and see all the fun that awaits us in this watch. I'm not going to do any cosmetic work on this one, just a complete clean and service - turns out that was all that was needed!

Will it ever run again? Rust Restoration of Destroyed 80's Seiko Diver | Seiko 6309 service
Просмотров 107 тыс.Год назад
In this video I will be restoring a severely water damaged 80's Seiko diver's watch. As usual for me lately it's pretty beat up, the case is full of dents and scratches. There's sooooo much damage caused by the ingress of water and the list of replacement parts is as long as my arm. Why bother then you may ask? Well, because I can!! Have a look and see all the fun that awaits us in this watch. ...
ASMR Restoration of 70's Tissot Seastar Watch | Watch Service

In this video I will be servicing and repairing 70's Tissot Seastar watch. It's pretty beat up, the case is full of dents and scratches. The crystal is cracked, the hands are bent and it's missing a crown and stem. Furthermore, the watch isn't running at all and it looks like it's someone's previously failed repair attempt. Have a look and see all the fun that awaits us in this watch. I'll be d...
Seiko 5 7S26 / 7S36 Watch restoration Part2
Просмотров 4,2 тыс.2 года назад
In Part 2 of the Wreck to Wrist series, we re assemble the 7S36 movement from the previous episode. I polish and relume the hands, I replace many parts and show you how to actually replace a balance spring - and a few other watchmaker tips and tricks. Stick to the end of the video, as I'm doing a nice reveal of how it came out (if the thumbnail didn't give it away lol). #Seiko #watch #restorati...
Worn out Seiko SKX Watch Service and Repair | Seiko 7S26 Service
Просмотров 42 тыс.2 года назад
In this video I will be servicing and repairing the Seiko SKX Diver's watch. It wasn't running when I received it and the complaint was that it wouldn't hold time. It turns out the automatic works' rotor was loose and it tore into the internals of the watch. Have a look and see how it gets repaired and see some watchmaker techniques applied in the process on the Seiko 7S26 Movement in this watc...
Seiko 5 7S26 / 7S36 Watch restoration Part1
Просмотров 5 тыс.2 года назад
In Part 1 of the Wreck to Wrist series, we take apart this really sad looking Seiko with a 7S36 movement. The case is a gonner, but I have a special plan for that. But first, we need to get the movement sorted as that is the heart of the project! #Seiko #watch #restoration If you want to see the second part of the video, you can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/ImGiucnFBmE/видео.html If you...

You are touching that movement with your hands, this is the first time I see that someone handles the watch without rubber finger covers. Yes, you put them on afterwards, but I guess you did that only for the camera.

Fantastic job. Allow me a question. I don't know how to say it in English, but the wheel screw that goes next to the barrel cover, that screw that always goes the other way... on this occasion I seem to see that it doesn't go the other way. Does it go in the normal direction in this caliber? Thank you.

lol i learnt another thing about seiko movement's today i was just servicing a 7S26 and noticed a bit more end play on the mainspring barrel like yours had i used my stacking set to make the hole smaller and the middle part of the hole is replaceable as i found out hitting too hard lol i then had to just get a donor from another seiko and replace you live and learn every day cheers

I have that same watch in my storage locker. Actually I have about two or three other Seiko's in storage as well. Seiko is my favorite watch brand. Accurate and not a wallet buster, and they do look good as well as wear well. I used to have a Bell Matic in my small collection but I don't know if I still have it. I do however have the Seiko quartz version of the old Bell matic.I'm not crazy about the quartz though. For whatever reason I was never crazy about it after I got it. Weird but true.

Hi again, I have 3 similar ones, and one of them gives me a little problem with the soft spring action of the shiny lever which helps the date ring stabilize itself when the date just changes. I see on your video (20:30-20:50 or so )that you install the spring the same way I do but mine does not even seem to offer any spring action. Do you push it up a little and it does not show ? It can’t be done anyway ! My lever goes in and stays in there sometimes ! Any commment would be appreciated before I settle for the way it is ! Thank you.

Any idea on the back story to how this watch got damaged in the first place? Was the crown left open? Gasket failed? Or did someone just randomly find it in the water?

Hi there. Loved your video on this skx009 job. Wonderfully serviced watch with great skill. I wonder if you can give me a hint on mine. It worked just fine until a few weeks ago. It fell to the floor, no aparent outside damage, kept working just fine. Then it started to stop by no reason and now works for less than a minute and stops. And something on the inside sounds “losse” when I gently shake. Any guess? Thanks a lot. Rui

Same watch I have had for 4 years, it was making a noise when shaking it also, I took the case of and found the flywheel loose too. After that I accidentally touched the balance spring trying to speed it up a bit.😱 now it Don’t work at all. 😥🫣🤔

Nice job boet i have the SKX can't remember if it is the 007 or 009 but a classic Seiko for sure,i love my Seiko watches i have the automatics, kinetics and solar ones.I saw aSeiko Marinemaster selling for £6000.Seiko quality for sure. The current price for a new Captain Willard is about £1050 and going up.I bought the homage version STEELDIVE for £114,it has the Seiko NH35 movement,it came with a metal strap and two other rubber/silicon straps extra spring bars and spring bar tool. Not bad for the price on Amazon.

I would just replace the movement with a NH-36 new and move on. But it is a great video of your service. Opening the barrel and removing the mainspring on this movement is very scary.
