Close. Its an 87. Still should get good mog when it gets back to running. Only 49k on this car. And yeah, i wouldnt care and the gauge. Currently dont. Id rather have the car run than the gas gauge work. 🤣🤣🤣

@@MechGuyver I'd buy it with no gas gauge. . i miss mine I had an 89 civic. sun roof, aluminum rims the works but i messed it all up.

Yep. Thats part of where i got my own conclusion of the ethanol from. Living in ohio in surrounded by corn. Lol. Ethanol is hygroscopic and it just pulls moisture in.

Idk man. I get lucky on the big stuff in life so to even it out i have bad luck on the small stuff like this. (Drove from Wooster to cedar point with an improper ball holding my car trailer. With a car. Trailer somehow stayed until i unloaded the car in sandusky where it popped off...)

Its the increased ethanol content to my knowledge. Not everyone knows so it doesnt hurt to share the knowledge of what can happen. Sharing is caring my friend.

It all done went bye bye. Lol. Don said he left it with half tank. Lol. Wasnt even a scent of gas when i opened it. And my battery chager was irritating me. Every time it got to actually cranking the charger would cut off.

Been kind of a long hiatus? Yeah, i know. Lol. Im working on it. Too much to do, not enough time.

Correct. When it went to tuning, it was a drop off. And i was promised footage of the tuning since i wasnt there. That never happened. It was dyno tuned and made a mere 198whp. We found that with how the engine is currently set up, the intake manifold and throttle body are simply too small. It actually draws increasing vacuum in vtec (6.5-9k rpm) correlating to rpm directly. I planned to do a whole video on the tuning result but my hiatus began around the same time. It actually played a role. I have not been happy with my car(s). Also had to get a new pc for editing. 2023 was rough... Smooth seas never made a skillful sailor though.

Yeah, i hear ya. Im actually working on bringing back the rice rocket so that i can get back to learning to tune. Keep your eyes out for those videos in the near future, they sound like your kinda style. I have some posted already if you havent already watched those older ones.

This thing couldnt fire in its current state no matter what unfortunately. It has literally zero compression across the board. Failed a leakdown miserably as well.

We did indeed do a leakdown and it sounded like wind through a cavern as soon as we put air to it. Its safe to say the valves are bent. Good looking out though.

Absolutely! I follow the kiss method. Keep It Simple Sonny Pull codes and do a visual inspection first. Usually leads me right to the issue, sans a few weird occurrences.
