For me going fast through the twisties on a Sports bike is the only thing that slows my mind down. So that I just focus on what's in front of me and not all the other things that are clouding up my mind.

This just popped up so I gave it a watch...moving in deed. Perhaps because it touches the consciousness of us motorcyclist's. If we have a bike & the stuff in life get's on top of us, then it's a release. I totally relate to the quote in ''Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance'' by author Robert M Pirsig : ''Philosophy of Riding a Motorcycle''... On a cycle the frame is gone. You're completely in contact with it all. You're in the scene, not just watching it anymore, and the sense of presence is overwhelming. The whole experience, is never removed from immediate consciousness.

I feel absolutely great for finally doing something and it made a huge impact on my sense of achievement after months/years of stagnation, isolation, delusion, we all knowthe narratiive.. No waffle just a big thank you much love psv

I sold my Bonnie and Tiger 40 years ago, and nothing was ever the same after. I've always regretted their loss. Now I've an RE Classic350 arriving soon, hopefully the start of a stable of 3-4 good thumpers. As I've had deep, even suicidal depression in past years, I know how biking with mates could have helped me....I've been so close to self deletion several times. I'm now older, stoic and thankfully single with land of my own in the Nth Lakes. I've been discussing with mates about building a small hangout in my woodland for bikers who need moral support, to meet, camp over, imbibe the home brew/coffee/whatever, stare into the campfire flames and let it out their demons. Still working it out, but it'll be a natural build, cozy, safe, and monthly gatherings. Thoughts?

I wanted to end my life cause I felt alone in the world and (of course) my girl left me for another dude, bike life saved my life, it restored my ambitions and courage to live on, I'm now adventuring on the journey of riding even farther and finding new places I never been, I don't ride every day, but every day I'm thinking about that next sunday when I will hop on my bike and ride away for my next adventure, bike life even brought me some new friends and some sense of belonging. People in general don't care about men's mental health but every life is worth living to the very end and we need to help each other out, when ever you see a lonely rider don't hesitate do wave or even ask about his day. it does really help and it makes you feel like you aren't invisible.

I've suffered from anxiety for over 20 years or so and it's the one thing that is guaranteed to help, owning and riding a motorcycle. Support each other, especially us men, as we seem to not be able to share are demon's. Paul UK

Mental health is a serious matter in the USA. After my military career was over I had big problems with PTSD, depression and anger. I got help and I have been on bikes since I was 4 yr old. I’m now 63, and still ride even with the loss of my right leg. My friends say I am crazy, I say I have limited stress, all things considered. Note: You ever notice there is never a bike parked at the Psychiatrist office?

My was forbidden to eat anywhere, both inside and outside! I was denied access to events. I was not allowed to do sports. Lonely and alone....3 for years. My bike dragged me through!

Great video, but there's something that's obviously not right. At 0:43 the guy takes the cover off his bike that's been stored in his garage for what we assume is a very long time, puts the key in the ignition, and the bike starts right up. The reality is that bike isn't going to start and he either spends hours fiddling with it or heads back to the couch and gets more depressed.

Keep up the great work. It’s a well worth it path you tread. It’s not easy to spot those suffering so we need be vigilant. Through personal experience (as everyone says) I hold someone very close to me who has suffered for years. He’s only young but what he has been put through only makes me stronger in helping him and bikers like him. He passed his bike test a couple of years ago because he wanted to be part of a group and had been shunned and bullied for years. The best thing that happened to him was getting his bike. Surprising how just a quick wave when riding and stopping at a cafe where other bikers are and just chatting to like minded people with no agenda but bikes makes him feel better.

I am 53, got me a motorbike last year, started to learn to play the accordion and got us two kajaks, one for me and one for my wife. I would have missed something very important, had I not done all these three things. I absolutely love them all.

With life's ups & downs, twists & turns, getting back on the 2 wheels has helped. It was first when I was 22 that I caught the bug, riding. Then a long hiatus before reaching 76 y.o. that I again started to ride. The more miles I put down, the more new friends I find with the same understanding of what 'wind therapy' really is, opens your eyes. Not everyone's pain is the same, but the passage of time, finding new places & friends has definitely made a difference, slow but sure. Loss takes an immense toll, friends who listen, maybe share the same interests, as in motorcycling, can ease things a little bit at a time. Depression is real, but light at the end of a tunnel is also real and gets brighter as we keep going forward. My good friends keep reminding me - Don't give up.

There was actually a torrential rainstorm outside when we filmed this and we wheeled the bike into the garage, managed to dry most of it off this was the water dripping from it. The bike was actually loaned to us from triumph for the week and was brand-new.
