Against the Storm - Map Idea (Wild Plains / Large Fertile Soil)
Sc1 content forever
The game is a classic, it will never end.
Foxes are broken good because they are the easiest to gain reputation with because of hostility immunity and being able to have resolve bonus practically on demand in any piped building not to mention easy complex food demands. They are usually the easies win condition you can have on hard difficulty like QHT. Frogs are great but in harder scenarios can completely ruin you because even 6 bricks can be hard to spare let alone maintaining big population. Beavers are my absolute favorites but it is my irrational bias towards them.
I think we all love beavers, they are pretty awesome lol. Yeah, foxes do have some nice play arounds to boost their resolve you are correct, and they are useful in many ways. I do not feel like bricks are that difficult even on harder difficulties although I can understand that they are the most RNG dependent generally...other than the clay pit there is no way to make them. Appreciate your thoughts and comment, love hearing others opinions.
cool tier list, grow strong and big channel ;)
Thanks and enjoy the game!

300mmr Tier List :D
Always down to hear your thoughts. what's your favorite clan's relic and why!?
1:01 The word you are looking for is "flora", but (aquatic) plants is OK as well.
I did a whole video reading pdas way back for the game and could not pull the word when I needed it. Thanks :).
I'd like to apologize on behalf of the brood war community - your video is being recommend to us. We have been playing brood war for 20+ years and we never go outside and have no friends so we have no social skills and we also forgot what "singleplayer campaign" and "not brood war" mean so your caveats are incomprehensible gibberish to us. We assume you meant to say "Ghosts are S tier in 1v1 brood war ladder" which makes you a sinner and a war criminal. Your list is actually really cool man good job
Thanks, it's all good I have been playing Blizzard games for years. I love this game and don't want to outrage or upset people. I make content for fun and to bring joy. Appreciate the comment.
You’re very brave for making a Tier List for SC1 based off the SPC
I tried to be a hero!, but we can not all be heroes lol. Thanks for the comment!
@ hahaha there’s a lot of purists here losing their minds 😂 for SPC it’s pretty accurate - plays a lot different to MP
Apologies comments this is Base (Not Brood war) in Campaign only. I am not a ladder player and have not played it in years lol. I will say I love the passion and interaction from all the Starcraft fans you guys are awesome. My biggest surprise from all the comments saying the Vulture is a great unit, I do not remember it being that good in PVP/Ladder even when I played way back.
Vulture is insane for harassment, it can shoot on the move and you can offensively use mines to kill units it normally sucks against (Dragoons, Tanks, etc.) - and a single Vulture can kill a ridiculous number of marines with good control.
Somebody should send this to Artosis
Tierlist made by a new player. Well, stop spreading bullshit
Based on Campaign play and Base game not Brood war. Also I'm by no means a professional, This is my opinion on the units :).
Real Terran tier list: (broodwar) S Tank A Vulture B Vessel, Marine(with medic) C Wraith, Goliath, Dropship, Marine(no medic) (Valkyrie), D BC, Firebat, SCV, (Medic) F Ghost Have you ever played multiplayer? Ghost are by far the worst unit in the game terran has, only devourers and scouts and MAYBE dark archons come close at all.
This is base game not Brood War. I am also mostly basing is on campaign play. Which is obviously different then Ladder play. I haven't played Multiplayer in years :).
@@MysticGamezXP Ok then. i still gave my multiplayer tier list which no one would disagree with heavily that knows the game
@@Nebulak187 Appreciate it I love seeing what everyone thinks :).
Eh, really match-up dependent. Putting BC that low when they literally wreck TvT seems kinda off. Vessels are also an all-star and should easily be A. Valks are a roleplayer but insanely good where they are used and Medics are obviously necessary for Marines to do anything.
@@SindarinElealar Yeah but medics are so low because their AI is terrible and their other spells suck. I think this ranking is fair But I can agree with Vessel being so good in general and BCs being good enough in TvT split map up to get a bump by a tier each. As i said very few knowledgeable broodwar player would heavily disagree with my tierlist, I stand by it. Thumbs up, though I can agree with those 2 by 1 tier up
Great work!
Is this a joke :D? I assume that you make this tier based on your experience when playing campaign, because it has nothing to do with pro gaming. Ghosts are almost never used in Ladder. "Very strong overall"? Against what? It's attack is super weak. Battle Cruisers are used sometimes against Zerg and only as a harassment unit. Mostly it's not worth it. Vulture as B? Seriously? With speed and mines that's basically the most important unit against Protoss and also Terran, can be also very good against Zerg. SCV is a joke compared to Drone or Probe.
I'm basing this on the Terran campaign, not ladder nor multiplayer. I should probably mention that. But I agree, Ghosts are not as good in PVP type situations as other units. I will say Im really surprised on Vultures though even when I played years ago I dont remember them being used that often.
This tier list is literally something I'd expect someone to make in 1998. It's actually insane how you think a marine isn't S-tier or vulture at a minimum A tier. The SCV is C or D max, and you have it as S... fucking wild. This video makes me angry.
Vulture is S yes but Marine is absolutely not S tier lol. They're good units but can't even fight lurkers well enough to break out of a contain. Late game they struggle against dark swarm, and in 2 of the other matchups they're extremely niche. Vultures are viable in more matchups and see greater value within those matchups over a longer period, no way should marines be in the same tier as them.
@@nesssixteen6106 stim.. they are anti air.. the bigger the cluster the better they are.
@@Demoniaco What does anti air have to do with breaking a lurker contain? Part of why Terran needs some amount of map control is if zerg gets a lurker contain, they can't break out until they have siege tanks which puts them massively behind. It's also really hard to break positions with pure bio if they have too many lurkers. Marine medic literally cannot kill zerg mid game if they have 4+ lurkers unless the zerg player has the worst micro of all time/ lurkers aren't burrowed etc. And it gets even worse in positions where the lurkers have high ground advantage. Again not saying marines are bad units, but they have so many exploitable weaknesses I don't know why anyone would put them in S tier. That tier should be reserved for units that are borderline OP or are vastly cost efficient relative to others, like defilers and vultures.
Sorry to upset you, this was after I finished replaying the Terran (Base game) campaign on my channel. My thoughts about each unit in usefulness, SCVs only get so high because they are pretty much needed to make everything else exist. This is by no means competitive / ladder tier list.
This is Starcraft (not Bw) campaign. Marines kinda suck TBH 'cause they don't have medics. You can do the campaign with them but mech is so much better (tho lacking Goliath range sucks). Vultures are amazing if you have good micro, Tanks are obviously S-tier, wraiths wreck AI, Goliaths are a necessary evil - you just play Mech in the campaign.
Scv is f tier because he gets stuck or in the way like it’s his job
I will say If he wasn't needed for everything else 100%, also that blocking you from building other things while building lol.
yes you butchered that pronunciation of einherjar
Sadly, I'm a huge fan/nerd of mythology too. :(, I will say I'm pretty good with Greek names :P. Thanks for watching, always love the comments!
Vultures are "S" for me. You get 3 free mines which can do a lot of damage if used properly. The unit is crazy fast and very effective vs workers/light-type units. It only costs 75 minerals. Almost as much as a worker. Too much value for me to ignore.
Im hearing, I must use vultures more. I will have to try :P.
Playing raven with the defensive mil strategy allows you to send a big squad of mercs to fight for you. You won't lose pop while the oppenent does. Meanwhile your eco keeps running on 100%. So basically you can overwhelm them in the long run.
I am a big raven fan in personal play :).
looks kinda weird without cursror

ox relic is b...okey😄
Where do you think Ox is, and why? Id love to hear your thoughts if you have time! Thanks for watching.
@@MysticGamezXP Quite a lot has been said about this already, and I generally pretty much agree with Larsman's and Tetonka's tier list, they are broadly similar as both play at a professional level. A few months ago a patch came out that changed the game dramatically, but it seems not all players understood it. So what changed? Let me explain, Warriors of all clans now get +5% to attack speed, not to damage as it was before. And this makes barracks upgrades on warriors not as effective now, essentially we are now in the era of archer meta. Nevertheless, in the early game, regular warriors without barracks upgrades are still stronger than axe throwers, mostly because of the chargecasting. But all this idyll is broken by the overbalanced bull, which with the upgrade barracks does not lose the damage of warriors, but also gets it as before all other clans. I.e. not only that his people are stronger in general, but also for each upgrade he is accelerated and strengthened.
@@MysticGamezXP ah, yes, the relic..... Well, being able to force your opponent not to run away and take the fight to no disadvantage by banging his head against a concrete pillar (Torphin) is pretty strong, isn't it? Often one fight won will decide the fate of a match.
@@Alex_GLIGL Id say that is a very good way of looking at it. If you're controlling the fights I could see it being S tier with that logic. I believe there is a level of situational awareness that is required though... I did say High B, I could arguably put it in A for the average player. Also thanks for the response :).
You can use the top of the shelves to display more item to sell, 3 rows instead of 2
Indeed, I prefer to buy 4 boxes then level up and unlock the 64 box and begin purchasing that on day 2 :). You are 100% correct though.
Making Barrage root, damage, and poison two targets at once sounds a bit overtuned to me. Huntress has a similar ability in Darnassian Steel, and while it adds three more potential targets rather than just one, it doesn’t also apply a root and poison effect (which can be strengthened with additional stacks). And since she costs one more gold than Dryad, I think the Huntress talents should have a fairly obvious edge over the Dryad’s. Chimaera, another five gold mini, applies double poison with the corrosive breath talent, which is somewhat similar to what you’ve suggested for Barrage (though double poison stacks on the same target is stronger), but this effect is only activated with every other chimaera attack and doesn’t have the benefit of a root. I agree with your guildmates that having the double root on top of double damage and poison is maybe a bit too strong (as much as I would like it being a great answer to the all-too-common Bubble Murlocs in PvP :-P). Another way to strengthen Barrage and make it play a bit more like the name suggests is to have it function as it currently does but also increase the dryad’s attack rate by an appropriate amount (maybe 25-33%). The increase would need to take bloodlust into account. This would also make her more effective even in single target scenarios and help her be eliminated less often when she fails to take out enemy minis by spreading her damage and root around too slowly. Thorns seems like it was designed to help the Dryad have an answer to low hp melees that can overwhelm her in spite of her root ability (like Chickens or Skeletons) or open on her from stealth (like Bandits or Worgen), or even have her function as a pseudo tank (perhaps with armor from Shaman, some healing, and level gain from Hubris Thaurissan or Air Drop Gryphon in your deck). But having it stack makes it unnecessarily complicated and difficult to utilize well. An appropriate buff for this talent might be to eliminate the stacking, having Thorns instead always return moderate damage, and give her a health buff (something that would also make her more viable in PvP, if she can survive an equal level deep breath).
Wow that was an awesome analysis, I think barrage is too weak in its current state. I understand your arguments that's why I was looking at different ways to try and weaken it by like half but spread to one additional target. Maybe the second target isn't rooted but damaged and poisoned. that could be another way. Anyways thanks for the comment I truly love the feedback :). My hope is as a community our ideas can help strengthen games as a whole!
@@MysticGamezXP Sure thing! And, to be clear, I don’t disagree that turning Dryad into a two-target attacker with Barrage is a bad idea. It reminds me of the Splintered Spear talent Lunara (a dryad) has in Heroes of the Storm. I wouldn’t object to her attacking and poisoning two targets at once, I just think a root on both might be too much. That said, the root would mostly affect melee minis and the few ranged minis that don’t match or exceed the Dryad’s range. So it might just sound like a lot on paper, but not be broken in actuality at all. My alternative approach to the talent would have a somewhat similar effect because the roots on different targets would be in more rapid succession and it would increase her single target damage at the same time. As I see it, either would be an improvement over the current design, which I’ve heard can perhaps be a detriment as often as an aid. Admittedly, I’ve preferred Nature’s Swiftness over Barrage due to the latter being reviewed as a weak talent.
@@mrdcduff 100% agree, also even if you disagree, I love to hear different perspectives, sometimes a little positive friction makes great things happen! I think keeping an open mind makes us all better. Also side note like/subscribe, I plan on doing some more rumble and would love to hear your opinions!
TY! That helped a lot!
Thanks, I have plenty of videos if you're looking for a little info to get started :).
New Enemy (Vanir), Interchangeable Lore Tree, and apparently coming soon...looking forward to it.
Do we know if all species houses are getting upgrades?
Fox/human housing upgrades are unlocked at T17, lizard/harpy/beaver at T18. I'm pretty sure they show upgraded frog houses, so I would say yes. Would be ideal to add it to T17 for three at each tier. Will know 100% for sure on the 26th release.
Right on, man thanks. I agree for the most part
Thanks for the comment, Yeah, I think it's pretty solid, placed dryad a little higher...using her probably slightly lower tier but Shes solid with Cenarius and his treant talent.
eyy! love to see info of the beta!
Me too! Hoping the Bifrost mode gives me a new reason to run every clan through the game mode :).
Wow getting a solid number of views, Most appreciated everyone tuning in! Tell me your favorite clan and why if you got a second :).
I think carine can give a lot of value from what he can do. If the opponent doesn't have any air minis, carine will give a ton of value controling the battlefield, especially with the fast talent which makes him a rusher. Even if they do, you can use voodoo, safe pilot or darkspear troll to counter them. His cost is fine for me since i use a rush based deck that has both control and damage
Yes, Cairne can be a real MVP versus ground. He was one of my favorite characters from Warcraft 3 actually. Both reincarnation and the runner talent are great. I would say the reincarnation is overall better but in certain match ups the fast trait makes him a beast...in a certain raid boss in particular.
Im good with Most of your decisions and arguments. My favs are lynx, rat and octo
Yeah I think the archers for Lynx A+, also /Octo are awesome, sea spirits are a very unique and interesting mechanic.
it's useless
How so, are you looking only for PVP? This was mostly for PVE and the best overall talents for the units.

Thanks for watching, and I appreciate the feedback!
i would like to see your tier list about which one is better
Thanks I plan on doing a conquest and an overall what clans I think are the best in a tier list style soon :).
Some things about foxes: They are completely immune to the passive resolve penalty from hostility level (but not the active one from the storm). Although their species housing is annoying to build sometimes, it provides a higher resolve bonus (+4) than other species housing (+3). Two of their favored foods are some of the best in the game because porridge is extremely simple to make and pickles provide +8 resolve instead of +4/+5 You are guaranteed to have any amount of comfort specialization for foxes since rain collectors are a default blueprint. Add all the bonuses together and you get +21 low effort resolve with an immunity to hostility which is pretty damn crazy. I always go for foxes if they are available on embark.
Yeah since making this I have changed my mind a bit on the tiering of the species. I also think they all have some merit and map/play style/ RNG highly effect results. Appreciate the comment I truly love the interaction! Hope you enjoyed the game as much as me!
Good video, keep on going😊
Thank you, I will. Appreciate the Encouragement!
S - Foxes, A- Harpy, B- Human, C- Lizard, D- Beaver. Almost complete opposite for me with all due respect foxes are op, always go for water and greenhouses. Something like Fox, Harpy and Human build i just cant lose. At P13 at the moment. I like lizard for hearth when i want that extra resolve to get a rep point here and there otherwise harpy in the hearth. Beavers are just too much of a 1 trick pony for me and they solve a problem that most of the time isnt a problem anyway. I like making oil rather from grain etc. I feel like supplier is just straight up op always take it, harpies love it.
My favorite thing about this game, is I get so many comments with so many different takes on species/buildings/etc, depending on the video of course. It's just awesome to see, we are all getting a new race soon I believe. I forgot their timeline...but they did announce it. I will say since making this I like foxes more and harpies.
🙄 "Promosm"
I do not have enough subscribers to be self promoting my videos :P. But I do hope those watching enjoy.
Ay brotha idk if u noticed or not but the bottom and right side of the screen is cut off so we cant see the xp bar or the ammount of objectives collected n stuff and its one of thoes slightly irritating things to be missing so if u can figure out how to fix that would be great brotha 👍 keep up the great gameplay
I appreciate you letting me know, I will have to try and slightly adjust down my screen capture on stream labs. *Should be resolved, the next two are old videos though, so they will still have the flaw unfortunately. I moved it for a game awhile back and never fixed it.
I'm on P15 at ~100 hours played, but I'd probably go with Human > Harpy > Foxes > Beaver >>> Lizard. I wouldn't want to put any race below B tier except Lizard (D tier definitely). Human identifying farm land is great and they're just generally good and stable. Harpy hearth bonus is so so so good like you said. They're easy to get reputation points from resolve, but sometimes hard to keep their resolve above 0 early on. Foxes are very similar to Harpy for me. I agree with their housing being a problem on some maps, but I like that I can keep them happy early on with geysers or a rain collector. I value their glade speed bonus a lot. Beavers are just worse Humans to me. Good, stable. I don't dislike them, but they feel a little harder to make happy than humans and I'm really dependent on getting a 2star+ plank recipe or else their housing can be a problem. Lizards are bad workers who are demanding and don't have the benefits that Harpies and Foxes have. They need buffs IMO. Building-wise, I think there are a lot of similarities so I'll just point out some ones where I think I value things differently. I value tools a lot higher than you do so any tools building goes up. Carpenter might be my top building in S tier. I value coats a lot lower than you, the recipes take too long. I'd put Clothier in B tier at most since it feels pretty dependent on the setup I have (having harpies mostly). I rank small farm > plantation >= herb garden > greenhouse. Probably S A A B? I have only had greenhouse a couple times, but it performs surprisingly well compared to what I had expected. It's situational because you need drizzle water specifically and it competes with food production rain engines, but it was able to produce a pretty good amount of food for me. Teahouse in C tier is probably because you don't like Foxes? To me that's a solidly high-B-tier building. 2 star porridge keeps my people fed and if I have humans+foxes is a great, great pickup. Similarly Beanery to S tier (3 star porridge), Tea Doctor to B. Tavern is definitely A tier. 3 global resolve is so good. It's only not S because I'd avoid taking it in early years. Monastery is definitely S tier. 100 hostility reduction is insane. I'd first pick monastery if there's not a 2star+ building materials choice. I'd probably drop many lizard buildings down 1 tier. Butcher to A, Grill/Smokehouse to B. I try to avoid having lizards so obviously I don't take their buildings as often. Thanks for sharing your tier list.
No problem, I am glad you enjoyed it. Even if we have a few disagreements. You have some solid arguments; I am really not a tool fan. I feel the overall investment tends to be just too high for me. But it may be a play style thing as well. Anyways appreciate the comments and feedback I love seeing what people have to say about some of my favorite games! Also, since this I have grown to like the beanery more myself :).
I think Lizards are most of the time a detriment. I'd rather have 2 races than lizards x) P20, >400h played, I'd say Foxes > Harpies =/= Humans > Beavers >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lizards
Nice, I am around 250 hours...I tend to play variety as my channel suggests so I jump around A lot when I can. Mrbigglesworth made a solid comment on how to manage foxes better, I will have to give it a try. I do like their bonuses I just tend to have a hard time with their resolve in particular. Thanks for your input, I may have rated lizards to highly, I will have to re-evaluate.
They can be a pain but you can always toss them in the blight post to make them happy and their houses are not too hard to make. Get a building that makes food chances are they will be happy in it idk. I think beavers are worse. But i agree for the most part with you.
ITS NOT ERTH ITS HEARTH
Oh no I sounded that bad in my pronunciation? :O
Can I get there mid game?
The more you play, the more resources you get to progress. It's a roguelike system. Game is meant to be played a lot. You can technically tech one row straight up very quickly, but you also need the levels...which will slow down a bit. All depends on your play style/time put in.
what in gods unholy earth this is not drg this is vampire survivers
Dude, first off love your icon. secondly true...with a mining twist :).
Nice guide! But why do think plantation is better if you need so much to get it working
Berries are pretty valuable, 1) you produce 6 unlike, the 3 for Roots, Vegetables 2) They can be eaten raw and are used in a decent amount of recipes. 3)They can be used in pack goods for trading as well. 4) if you do luck out and get mushroom seedlings you can make majority of advanced foods with one building. I will say most things are RNG and luck though.
