I had the UK version of this DVD, which was similar to the version in this video, and I loved it.

This is without a doubt the first Pixar home video release to not be THX-certified and it’s also the first to not use the THX logo at all since the 1999 DVD releases of A Bug’s Life which they do not have it at all either due to Disney and THX ending their partnership after 2006 with the Cars 1 DVD release (well,the THX logo still appears on the 2011 and 2013 DVD releases of said film and it’s the same one from the original DVD release despite not being shown on the back or on the disc of neither of those releases at all and despite that at the time the THX certified-Disney and Disney Pixar era is already over after 2006 due to Disney owning Pixar) and also due to Pixar being owned by Disney a said year prior and if they didn’t use the THX logo in this release then they should’ve used the Disney DVD logo after the menu because this is the first Pixar DVD to be owned by Disney to be exact but sadly neither the Disney DVD or the THX logos are used at all..

the Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 1 DVD release had the same shorts from this one but only prior to the For The Birds short and that’s a pretty interesting DVD by the way,too bad it got lost over the years (well,at least until mid 2018) and only the Short Films Collection releases are more common than the Richmond DVD but at least the latter was finally found 17 years later and the other interesting thing is actually surprising at the same time and it had the Knick Knack short in its original,uncensored and uncut version and not in its 2003 censored and altered version that we all saw and sadly grew up with during Finding Nemo that appears on the movie’s home media releases and on the Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 1 release with the blonde lady’s edited boobs at all but sadly this the only short Pixar content DVD release to include Knick Knack in its original form but at least in an acceptable quality before remastering and altering said short 2 years later when Finding Nemo premiered back in 2003 and that’s very sad if you ask me :’(

This looks like 2002 because of the Walt Disney Home Entertainment (2001-2008) and Disney DVD (2001-2012) logos

12:41-13:10/11 honestly i think it’s a missed opportunity to have the original 1995 Disney logo for one last time in this movie although i know that Ratatouille was the last Pixar film to use it before switching to the 2006 logo for the next Pixar movies starting with this one but i honestly think they’ve should’ve used the ‘95 Pixar castle one last time for WALL-E well don’t get me wrong i like the 2006 Disney logo and i also liked it when this movie starts and also i know that WALL-E was the first Pixar film to use this logo but still it should’ve been the last Pixar movie to use the 1995 Disney logo just like they used it for the teaser trailer but they didn’t use the logo and instead they used the 2006 one instead which it’s not bad at all except when it plasters previous Disney logos for old pre-2007 movies

I remember a very long time ago that i watched this movie on DVD whether the 2000 one or the 2005 10th anniversary one it was my nostalgic experience about that back when i was a kid back then too bad that this marks the final Toy Story 1 home video release to have the original 1995 Disney logo that appeared exclusively for Pixar movies intact (well,Ratatouille and Cars 1 were the final movies to have that logo to be exact) long before releasing the movie on Blu ray back in 2010 where it sadly plastered the 1995-2007 Disney logo with the 2006-2023 one with the Pixar logo appearing after it (well the movie originally DID have the Pixar logo but only at the end (and only before the original Disney logo) and not at the beginning unlike the current prints and unlike subsequent Pixar movies after this one so it doesn’t make sense to have it at the beginning cuz Pixar wasn’t as recognized back then compared to today) which in my opinion it’s just as sad as hell to replace the original Pixarized Disney logo with the 2006 one on modern prints of five of the first eight Pixar movies such as Finding Nemo,this first Toy Story film,Cars 1 (although there are already HD prints of the movie that had the original Disney logo intact alongside the 20 years variant of the original version of the Pixar logo remaining intact as well),Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc (same reason as Cars 1 minus the “celebrating 20 years” part) and you know what’s even MORE sadder is that only three of them still retain it intact today :’(

the 2011 and 2013 DVD releases of this movie obviously had the same menu from this,well,except the Sneak Peek part,except the trailers and except the bumpers,everything from those releases almost remained unchanged since its original 2006 DVD release,including the THX logo (despite that on the back and on the disc on both 2011 and 2013 DVD releases of Cars didn’t have the logo,it still shows it right after the menu,right before the warning screens and RIGHT before the movie starts) and the original Disney Pixar logos remaining intact

This DVD is almost the same as the 2003 one yep same movie logos,same full movie itself and SAME menu but the only differences between this and the 2003 version is that on this one the THX logo is absent and it had the green FBI warnings and the Walt Disney Home Video logo instead while on the 2003 version it DID have the THX logo and it has the Blue FBI screens instead of the green one we saw on this version and also it had the Finding Nemo thing and A Bug’s Land added in the menu
