The light brown MK1 capri, i think thats my uncle steve in his Nightrider capri.

went to these car shows at bell vue in the late 70`s early 80`s, my uncle steve had a ford capri MK1, aka Nightrider in a flakey bronze paint finish with the same car on the bonnett under a street lamp, also had a chain steering wheel which his girlfriend at the time designed, he came 3rd by the judges i was a kid, my bedroom was plastered with pictures of custom cars from the famous Street Machine magazine. Great memories...my Pop and my girlfriend's Consul Capri were at Belle Vue that year. I remember watching the Falklands war updates on the telly in the hotel. First time we'd driven to Manchester (from London) - thankfully we had CB to keep in touch.

I remember so many of these cars from back then, what amazes me is if you check the reg numbers on dvla a lot are now on completely different cars, or untaxed just a couple of years after this film, probably sat in a lock up somewhere unloved and forgotten which is a crying shame, the 80's were the Hot Rod golden years I think, I know the early 80's were for me in my V6 'Pop' thankfully it's still about a little rebuilt and different now, but still about. 😊
