I'm so sorry for your loss, I pray your memories will bring you joy in the months ahead. No one can fill our Mom's shoes! The retreat looks like a wonderful getaway with friends to stitch. I think I have been through Scottsboro on the way to our friends in Florence AL. There's a cross stitch store in Decatur AL called Cross Stitch Peddler, the owner is very nice & helpful.

I just found your You Tube channel and think you are delightful. My sympathy for the loss of your Mother. I have a collection of cook books and would love to add this recipe book.

My sincere condolences for the loss of your mother. Great sewing on your 1st pillow, I leave an opening rather than making a slit on back. I find it easier for stuffing. Thank you for sharing the recipe book.

My sister-in-law gave me an old Kenmore sewing machine to practice on. I made a small bag with a zipper as my first project. So sorry about your mom. My momma came to live with my hubby and I about 8 years ago when my step father passed and as much as she gets in my nerves I know I'll be heartbroken when she's gone. I hope your heart starts to heal somewhat soon. I just discovered your channel and I love it!! Your pillow is great. I too just learned how to sew. I bought myself a machine a couple of years ago on Black Friday sale and watched a bunch of RUclipsrs and had a friend come over and I've been on a pillow kick and a half!! 😂😂😂. My latest endeavor has been project bags..... With liners and zippers 😳😳. I watched the best tutorial by tiger Lily designs on RUclips and it's just basically stitching 4 sides. She's a great teacher. So coming from someone who failed home-ec it is possible!!!! Your retreat sounds so fun. And I love a good recipe book. Healing thoughts and prayers. Tracy, first condolences on the passing of your Mother. I understand how it can be so very sad and a blessing at the same time . I almost feel like you are my long lost sister I never knew about. I’m originally from Decatur, Ga now living in Auburn, Al. The Scottsboro area is so beautiful. My parents and grandparents are from that area. I finished SWTHW piece exactly like you did. I am so sorry for the loss of your mother and I pray that your memories will bring you great comfort in the days ahead. My mom passed in 2006 and I still miss her and think of her every single day. Congratulations on becoming a seamstress and making your first pillow. I want to buy sewing machine, but I’m nervous about figuring it all out. My mother was an accomplished seamstress and I wish that I had pushed myself to learn from her. Would you please share the link for the sewing machine that you bought on Amazon? Stitching is lovely. I really enjoyed this floss tube. I smiled a few times during it. And the retreat location looked beautiful as did the space that you were crafting in.

I enjoyed watching your video, will go back and catch up on previous ones. So sorry for the loss of your mom, loved seeing her pictures and her beautiful smile. Keep sewing, practice makes perfect. But even if not perfect, it's a lot of fun !! Maybe you will try quilting one day. I am a cross stitcher from years ago, but relatively new to quilting. Both hobbies are so rewarding. I bet that recipe book is full of wonderful recipes.

I'm so glad your channel popped up as a suggestion! I'm new to flosstube and love how professional your videos look. I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you. I found healing from my loss, through my stitches. My mom was my stitching companion and best friend. All my work reflects her in some way. That retreat looks beautiful. I've never been to a stitching retreat and that location is only 3 hrs away. I don't keep up with what I'm stitching, so no book of days, but I like the commit 30 idea. I don't keep a lot of projects going at once (except quilts). Your work is beautiful and I'm now following Erin Elizabeth designs! Recipe book And I could totally drive 3 hours to visit a store...just need to talk my husband into it! Maybe we could go camping there.

Loss is very hard- My Dad passed New Years Day very unexpectedly. I’m trying to stay positive like you. It’s not hit me yet; and I truly haven’t had time to grieve. Stitching always calms my mind a bit and especially when I’m doing so with My Besties! I enjoy cooking for others and maybe the recipe book will give me another idea to adventure. Hang in there. Could you tell me where you got the Home Sweet Home Pumpkin kitchen towel hanging behind you? I live in Newnan and saw the story on the news…such a tragedy. I hope your husband is doing well. Praying for you and your family’s strength with your mother’s illness. I have never heard of that festival and will definitely have to remember for next year. Your finish is pretty! I just discovered Erin’s designs and have quickly fallen for her designs. Happy Birthday! Looks like you had a great day. I tend to be a monogamous stitcher also, the most I have at one time is 2. Thanks for your question, I have always wanted to know how they keep up with all their floss when they have so many kits going at one time.

To keep track of where your floss is in different charts/kits. There’s an app called notions. It works well.

Hello Tracy.. I am so glad I found your flosstube.. I loved all of your projects they were beautiful! And wow are you a fast stitcher. I’m also a monogamous stitcher for the most part😂. I think if I had more than 2 going at the same time I would be to stressed! I’m 66 years old and have been married 46 years. I have cross stitched for ever but really picked it back up in 2019 when my husband had to have a quadruple heart bypass. And now I can’t get enough. I have 2 daughters and 1 son, from my son 1 granddaughter that is 17 and from my youngest daughter I have 1 granddaughter that is 7 and 1 grandson that is 4.. all of them are the joy of my life! I can’t wait to see your next flosstube❤
