I took my ASP out of the box again last night to test the different systems (SNK/CPS/SNES/etc) and I have a few comments to make. First of all I find that there is a big problem with the sound, it is bad, not average but really bad, for example the guitar that we hear on the first stage of Metal Slug X is shrill and much louder than on my Slot MVS. It's night and day, and on other titles too, it's a general problem that only owners of real SNK hardware will identify right away... Another problem: the unibios 4.0 is not accessible in-game because the START+SELECT buttons take you back to the stick menu, to perform backups/restores and various settings... so no possibility of taking advantage of the cheat menu for example... Finally, last thing, the ScanLines also apply the smooth, which gives a disgusting rendering and the only possible choice is pixelperfect... In short, for the price it remains a good choice, especially compared to the NeoMini disaster (on TV) but hey I can only advise you to buy a Slot MVS and a 161in1 to start on real hardware... it's just incomparable! And at last, don't try SF 3rd Strike, it unplayable on this system !!

As much as I love the PS2, the PS3 is still my favorite generation, wish I had Fat, got Slim and it's great but Fat just looks better and is more nostalgic to me

ETA Prime likes everything and will continue to do so as long as he's getting things free, I would much rather see content from someone who paid for their devices. Odroid makes excellent SBCs, I have over 20 of them but haven't gotten an H4 yet.

Instead of putting the custom file in /usr/share/emulationstation/ try putting it in /userdata/system/configs/emulationstation
