Thanks! Down time is a cool way to give players some agency and creativity! I think that may owe its roots to a dm from the Wednesday game that Ben and I were a part of. He was really good about working weeks/months of down time into the campaign to allow us to pursue "pet projects". At one point there was a whole year off and he came up with a whole table system to figure out our results.

@ No, but it is re-org season at work and that makes me nervous. We seem to do it every three years or so.

I think that's brilliant! He basically let us make our own backgrounds. I hear ya on the tension between following the rules and trailblazing. The thing I always try and remind Ben is that Coach is the King of Homebrew. He probably wants everyone to play around and tweak things to make it fit the group and the game

@@PeakDnD i have them choose 2 D20 1 from the good elven deity and 1 from the evil elven deity, one a curse one a blessing, they RANDOMLY and without knowing roll the blessing from the good deity and the curse from the evil deity, one is cursed by lolth and turn into a werespider and lead the party into the shadow king lair to save the Elven Chosen 🤣 they are 3 people and they BG was so perfect i did very little job to mix yours into theirs 🤣 EDIT: I can expand more on the discord if you curious 🤣

I'd love to know how you've adapted Argilia. I like the blessing/curse mechanic too. (As I'm sure you've discovered we aren't the best Discorders, but if you put it there - I will see it...eventually... 🤣)
