You did not understand the video. I am showing a faulty instrument cluster falsely reporting over or under voltage. It does not indicate an actual over or under voltage, if it did it would not be faulty. It has nothing to do with alternator, it's an instrument cluster fault.

A jakie auto? Ja miałem identycznie w A3 8P z 2011. Trochę radio pochodziło, coś tam robiłem w aucie i rozładowałem akumulator. Daję zapłon i informacja, że bateria nie będzie ładowana. Błąd też nie zapisywał się absolutnie nigdzie. Ale miałem przy tym błąd pamięci licznika (teraz już nie pamiętam kodu ale taki, którego się nie dało usunąć). Po jakimś czasie uwaliłem licznik (zwarcie zrobiłem bo grzebałem na PCB) i wymieniłem licznik na drugi. Od tamtego momentu jak rozładuję akumulator to dostaję informację, że słaba bateria i będzie normalnie ładowana podczas jazdy.

Hi John. I missed your comment, I guess it's sorted already ;) No, I only specialise in instrument clusters as that's something I can diagnose 100% over the phone, without seeing the car. No module ever needs "reprogramming" unless someone deliberately wiped the 'software' in which case, I wouldn't be able to help anyway. I do repairs, programming is never involved in any repair.

Well it's very simple. Your rhs door is connected to the cluster as driver door. Disconnect right door and connect left one. Changing coding from UK to RoW should change the symbol on the screen.

And what do you mean disconnect right door and connect left one, you mean change it in the wiring that goes to the cluster? The cluster has 3 different colored connectors going to it, is one of the pins in them responsible for the warning beep? And again thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately there are no diagrams for any modern electronic device. You have to reverse engineer and draw it yourself, that's what we do.

Showing off..? I'm really not sure what you mean, I'm showing the instrument cluster bench test after repair, as per video title. Some customers ask "do you test it after repair" because sadly, it's not that obvious these days as you would think it is. Many so self-called "repairers" "repair" in the way that they spill the solder all over the board and call the job done (and charge obviously) without even checking if it was faulty at the first place. After many days or even weeks customer fits it into the car just to discover that the original problem (usually not related in any with the instrument cluster) is still there, so he just lost time and money. You ask how I did this, I have no problem sharing but what exactly are you asking about? How I did what?

​​​@@totaltronics8775 apologies for the previous jerk reply. I don't quite know what I was precisely complaining about. I guess I'm just jealous that you have the tools and method to bench test an instrument cluster. Did you just connect it to 12V or do you need a dummy module so the gauges don't complain?

Most likely it would be a short / bridge (Which males current to bypass from lcd display and selecting path with low resistance). Or else you dint solder all the pins properly. Assuming you have D1560T0B, Only 21 pins are used out of 51 pin on LCD. Google it you would get the pin configuration to trouble shoot in expert way.

Hi. 24C32 is type of EEPROM. To wake up this cluster you need to send a few specific messages via CAN Bus.

I tried pin 32 12v Pin 16 earth Pin 28 /29 canbus and cluster dosent become live . ,but conects with diagnostic for cluster codeing , Any idea what else should power cluster

What kind of diagram are you looking for?
