Remember, the passé composé is the perfect past tense. We use the perfect past tense to say things in the past, like “I went to” or “I stayed”. Écoute, we saw the first way with the passé compose, now with this way you don’t start with “j’ai”. You know the verb “être”, that’s “to be”. From there, you get the phrase “je suis”. You bright sparks are more than quite smart, just learn a few key phrases by heart. Like Je suis allé Je suis sorti Je suis resté Je suis parti Je suis allé Je suis entré Je suis arrive Je suis rentré Remember, for coping with this, “être” takes a few verbs; here’s most of the list: Je suis monté Je suis retourné Je suis sorti Je suis venu Je suis allé Je suis né Hey, écoute, je suis descendu. Je suis entré Je suis rentré Je suis tombé Je suis resté Je suis arrive Je suis mort Je suis parti, and there’s only a few more. But for you, bright sparks, for a nice start, just learn a few key phrases by heart: Je suis allé Je suis sorti Je suis resté Je suis parti Je suis allé Je suis entré Je suis arrive Je suis rentré Being lazy, that’s just not worth it; I know you’ve heard this, practice makes perfect. See, it’s really easy for any bright spark; just learn a few key phrases by heart.

Bonjour! Merci pour TON message 😊 Mon / Ma / Mes = my (masculine singular / feminine singular / plural) Ton / Ta / Tes = your (masculine singular / feminine singular / plural). Examples: MON/TON message / MA/TA tablette / MES/TES messages, MES/TES tablettes (etc). Remember, it’s about the noun/the object/the possession - not the person (subject). Examples: J’envoie MON message sur MA tablette. Marie, j’aime TON message. Message is a masculine noun, so we use TON (Marie is feminine but we still must use TON for message). Bonne question! When you learn a new word, learn its gender at the same time e.g. check the dictionary, ask the teacher/tutor. Then, you must aim to remember the gender by heart. Practise using the new words as much as possible. There are some tips and tricks to help you remember words’ genders e.g. many feminine nouns end -e. But, these aren’t strict rules. 👨🏾🏫

C’est simple: Je SUIS allé(e) (etc) Tu ES allé(e) (add -e in the feminine) Il EST allé Elle EST allée Nous SOMMES allé(e)s (add -s in the plural) Vous ÊTES allé(e)(s) Ils SONT allés Elles SONT allées J’espère que ça t’aide - I hope that helps you. Follow the pattern like the video just with the different pronouns and parts of ÊTRE (tu ES, il EST, etc.) 👨🏾🏫👊🏾
