I have had the Fuji GW690, while the optics produce sharp images, I sold it due to the cost per shot and the limit on lenses. I still have my RB67 Pro S and love the optics! 6x7 is enough to make great prints. For everyday shooting, I use the Leica M4, can’t go wrong with 36 exposures for most of my work.
I've got a Nikon not too far older than yours and it's got the same vibe photos and I kind of love it. I was thinking of selling it to finally get a mirrorless, but there's something raw and mechanical I love about it
yeah mate, save the money! Use it to go somewhere new!
Something was lost when we moved to mirrorless. The 'real' view through the viewfinder is something I miss. Looking at what is basically a mini-tv in the eyepiece removes you from the experience slightly. I have often thought about going back
I agree, I miss the OVF and tactility of a dslr switching to mirrorless, but mirrorless has many benefits and aside from battery life and the first two things I mentioned they are superior to DSLRs in a lot of ways, I'd just own both I don't think I could own only one
Well the viewfinder was absolutely bonkers in the 35mm film days, like looking through a television screen. But DSLR's do not have very good viewfinders at all, Sony Alpha 900 is pretty much the pinnacle of viewfinders on DSLR's, and the reason for that is simple, the DSLR needs autofocus added which hinders how large and bright the viewfinder can be on these cameras, you can still buy magnifiers that go up to 1.4 times, not much, but it will creep slightly closer to the avg viewfinder of 35mm film cameras in the day. But nothing beats a DSLR's pure mechanical feel, the shutter, the dials, everything on a pro-body DSLR camera from any brand feels like operating a machine, Pentax has somehow retained this feeling, the last DSLR company on Earth, A99M2 is also a last contender.
Canon 5D Mark ii is GOATED (and so are your photos xx)
Brother, you should prepare a script before making a video. Your thinking and stuttering was very distraacting and makes the video boring even if it is informative. Video time could have been reduced by half. It was informative though and I learnt what I wanted to learn.
Thanks for the advice! I'll keep this in mind when putting together my next vid
@@paris.smithdavies i am glad you valued my opinion! Subscribing so I can see the change happening! 💖
What if you one up yourself and exposure bracket with the RB67? lol
I will do that when I figure out an infinite money glitch for all the film I’ll need 😂😂
Great video ! Very ressourcing. Calm and instructive, I find it really nice, thanx for your work ! 👍
First
Very well done. I recently started shooting with my RB67, which I acquired last year. I love the way it makes you compose and shoot with intention. Every shot needs to be crafted. Slow down and exist in the moment of artistic endeavor. This camera's limitations are freeing, not hindering. Looking forward to seeing more of your experiences.
lmao this was really funny AND insightful!
This video made me feel funky. You guys are cool.
This was slightly unhinged but fantastic
Wow who is this wanker
I know what an ilford dark plate is cos of you blokes
Happy I stumbled onto your video, it's a really nice change of pace from all the fast, in your face, youtube videos you see everywhere. Surprised you don't have more followers yet. Gave you a sub and a follow on instagram as well. Looking forward to seeing your growth over the years!
Hey thanks brother!
Just found this you and loving your calming style of vids! Excited to follow the journey man
Love it!
Haters will say you added the film borders in photoshop
Love the wooden frames like ghost gums in the night
Love the honest take in this video ❤
Beautiful work! I’m glad I’m not the only one who occasionally double exposes inadvertently with the RB (we won’t talk about the time I wasted 6 rolls of portra without realizing my mirror lock was left on)
oh mate, sometimes the mistakes can be endless hahaha
Lmao the Gregorian chants got me. 😅
nice video, which long term project exactly are you working on? Which tripod do you use to scan your negatives?
Sorry I'll make it more clear in the following video, the project is the documentation of the development of the new suburban cluster which sits to the west of Canberra including the suburb of Whitlam. Also I'm use the manfrotto be free, but I wouldn't recommended it for scanning to be honest. There are better options out there.
Huge fan of your work! Keep it up 😊🎉
Is this a sponsored review?
Splendid scans ❤
Just found your channel, you have a great sense of story telling and editing. Looking forward to what you'll make next
thanks mate, new video coming soon!
Yeah, that beast just calls for our sadistic nature to come forth. She loves it when we break our backs taking her to hikes, when we try to take a shot handholding her under (for me) 1/120 and we get blurry shots, but we can't really live without her. Long live the RB
The technical name for that tower on kunanyi is the tampon and it is famous in its own right thank you very much
Thanks for the panoramic video. In the future, try cropping your 6x7cm still images to create 3x7cm panoramic still images. Also, try using 35mm film in your RB67 to create 2.4 x 7cm panoramic still images.
I like the idea! Something I haven't tried yet
Bruthaaaaaaaaa!
The one you have with you
Unless you've loaded a roll of Ultramax...
