String instruments handmade in Italy.

I've been building guitars and basses since 2013.
I love wood and woodworking, and music has always been a part of my life.
At the age of 19 I decided to build my first guitar and to start an adventure.
Now I have two labs based in Milano, and hundreds of happy customers.
My wish is to make wood live again with the magic of music.

BUILDING a STRAT GUITAR - Part 1: the body
Complete building process of a Strat Ross PesoPiuma Guitar.
Ross PesoPiuma guitars are made entirely by hand and they have the particularity of being extremely light, the average weight is 2.5 kg.
The wood used for the body is Paulownia, extremely light but at the same time stable, resistant and eco-sustainable.
This Strat will feature a roasted maple neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard, 2-pivot Gotoh bridge, Kluson tuners, Ross handcrafted overwound pickups, and a "Forest Blue" metallic semi-gloss relic finish.
Follow me for the next episodes: the neck, the finishing, and the audio demo.

I cant believe you done it like that! No templates or anything. Insanse skills!
What a good video, it shows that you are very clear about the entire process and that you act with great productivity.
Thank you!
You sir have a serious talent.
Hi! The Red/Orange stain is water based, It takes around 15/20 minutes to dry. The matt finish is acrylic poliurethane, it completely dries in 24 hours.
I did not se a truss rod
@@MrBasslayer2 you can find it from 05:00 onwards
👍👍👍
Que bella mujer!!
You did a terrible job on this build it's not even CLOSE to accurate to a REAL Gibson Les Paul. The headstock DIDN'T crack when you touched it, it DIDN'T go out of tune after plucking a string once and you DIDN'T need stitches after running your hand across the fretboard.
@@ENNEN420 🤣
You should see some of Bob Rigaud's handmade guitars...he is luthier to Jackson Browne and Graham Nash, check out his website! I have played his $10,000 guitar, I was blown away at the balance of treble, midrange, and bass!!! R. K. Craver North Carolina
no sound check?
Very nice. Great work
excellent build !!! And the strat sounds incredible!
@@EddyEE1968 Thank you! I'll be building more soon
🤥
That's so gay. You can't make a relic by hand, relics are made by time.
@@1tzmat048 Couldn't agree more 😉
Like wearing a purple heart without being wounded
Do you kick up the same fuss about faded jeans?
Show esse vídeo . Muito bonito .
Cool idea to glue blocks to the bottom of the radius dish so that you can hold on to them and drive the bus with the radius dish upside down. I may end up trying that!
@@CMRWoodworks thank you. even better, the blocks are not glued but screwed with a spacer, so that they also rotate on their axis, making everything more ergonomic in rotation
@@RossLiuteriaItalyoh, nice! Yes, even better.
What kind of oil or wax do you use?
@@teiltje in Italy the name Is "olio paglierino", it's a mixture of non-drying mineral and vegetable oils. You can use also lemon oil (it's barely the same oil with scent of lemon in it)
@@RossLiuteriaItaly thank you for your answer!🙏
Nice. Looking forward to seeing the rest.
Fantastic build!
That is a very good job the plastic strips I need to learn to put on my guitar before I die
Wow I wanna play it

👍👍🍺
My birth year guitar is a 1969 black beauty. I can't afford that one. But I did find a 1979 custom black beauty in a local shop the other day, and it was in fantastic shape. It was a beast and is so clean for under $4000. It's at Lakeside music in portwashington Wisconsin if anyone is looking for one.
this man is extremely talented he did one hell of a job
@@mikedifiore4126 thank you :) i'm a woman, actually, but the point is the same ;)
Fabulous work. But please Wear a mask in the spray booth!
@@barryfisher4734 I Always wear a active carbon filter Mask, I use nitrocellulose basecoat and acrylic clear coat. Here you see a video-purpose pseudo-coat, so that I can prevent the camera from damages by varnish dust and I can avoid masking.
@@RossLiuteriaItaly Thanks for responding and glad to for that. You're an amazing builder.
😮
I was waiting for a bit of a soundcheck at the end ..... but no .... would have been nice.
You have golden hands! Please don't break them anymore.🤘🤘🤘
❤
Awesome job! I’d love to know the details of your finishing process. For instance what type of dye are you using, do you apply a sanding sealing coat after dye, and what top coat are you spraying?
@@kylec4509 hello, thank you. Unfortunately I had some problems with the camera during the painting process and several steps were missing. for wood staining I use water-based anilines, either in powder or already in liquid form. here I gave a coat of red to bring out the grain of the poplar, then sanded with a fine grain (240/400) and then gave the final orange colour. then I gave it a nitrocellulose-based pore sealer, just one coat, so as not to create thickness. At the end, one coat (or two coats, depending on the effect you want to achieve, whether to keep the pore more open or more closed) of two-component transparent matt acrylic paint. between one coat and the next always sand with 400 grit. I hope it is clear.
Me likey bandsaw curves
I would really enjoy watching someone build a les Paul and use the proper style of truss rod instead of a Allen key truss rod .
@@markdalton6662 I only and exclusively use double action truss rods because, in addition to being much more resistant, they allow the neck to be adjusted in both directions. You don't know how many guitars I get with the single action truss with the backbow neck that can't be adjusted. Many times customers ask me to replace their damaged or no longer working single action truss rod with a new generation double action one, and there is pain because the fingerboard has to be detached and a long and complicated job has to be done.
A bit concerned that despite the extractor fan, you were spraying without a mask. Stay safe.
Hello, I copy and paste the answer I gave before: I Always wear an active carbon filter Mask, I use nitrocellulose basecoat and acrylic clear coat. Here you see a video-purpose pseudo-coat, so that I can prevent the camera from damages by varnish dust and I can avoid masking.
1000👍🏼
it is a question of availability of the material and above all of stability. There are also single-piece bodies but they are more unstable because they have a more variable grain inside. for greater stability, two parts with the straightest grain possible are used. However, I also often use one-piece bodysuits and tops, it can be done, if you like
🧡
❤
Awesome and beautiful
Hope you mend soon 🙂.
I Hope so ;)
The whole video in double speed 🥴🙈🫣
What brand pin router is that ? Also great work 👍
Thank you, the big one Is a Bosch 1400AE router, the little one, used for inlays, is similar to a Makita DRT50ZJX2, I can't remember the name
Man, that body looks like it is on fire. Enjoyed watching it take shape, you are a whizz on the sanding disc., a real sculptor.
Thank you very much :)
You've got talent son keep up the great work
