Why do you keep calling the bracelet a chain dude ? And those ropes are from Peru
@@marcial84mc I'm showing off a bracelet and a chain for comparison.
@@ubercajun yes but you keep referring to a bracelet as a chain smh.
@@ubercajun and showing off a bracelet and chain for comparison is not the smartest thing to do. FYI…
@marcial84mc it's about the diameter quality not showing off its about giving people a heads up when buying jacoje did you even watch the video it's called a review lol
I’ve never had an issue with him and he always responds to emails
Look drugged out lol
Lol called acne and chapped lips lol I hate drugs I watched them take my cousin away from me. I'm sober as it gets lol have a good day!
❌❌This guy is ripping people off and he has a scam artist. I sent in a gold chain for repair that I bought from him a year ago and was told it was going to take 2 to 3 weeks it's been a month now and he's lying out of his teeth giving me multiple time frames now that he has the chain. He said he's not going to return the chain unfixed and refuses to send the chain back. I contacted the Attorney General and we're going to go to small claims court I already sent my final demand letter. Buyer beware
Thanks for informing.. I also have several rope chains, only one of which is significantly impacted size-wise by the diamond cuts, and it was still only .3 off. Good jewelers like Lirys advertise a 4.7 mm and sell a 4.7 mm, why is it okay to call it a 5 if it’s literally never once been 5mm? In your case here, it’s far far beyond anything reasonable. Props to you for checking yo shit
A lot of people don’t know how to use the caliper, you positioned it correct but you have to twist around. I promise you it will be 5MM.
His website says the mm changes after the diamond cut process. You paid for the weight & that's what matters. You want the bigger look without the bigger price tag.
It's does say that up to .5mm difference not over 1.2mm that's more than double what he says should be the variant so yes I expected it to be bigger in diameter. But you are correct that the weight matched the price. My complaint was his claims of up to .5mm difference is not accurate and he should probably change that.
guy doesnt even answer his emails and dont do returns not sure how you can
lol I’ve sent 3 emails and all have been answered within the hour
I've had some issues getting responses in the past but definitely got it returned
Whats the true mm of a flat curb bracelet
the jewelry game is a huge scam
i order a 5mm chain and its the smallest 5mm chain i have ever seen. 4.1 to be exact. shit is dumb bro. also got the 6,5 yatch and its 6mm on the dot,, jacoje shit will always be small and lighter then the site says. he know what he doing. think about it,, over thousands of people. bro thats thousands of dollars he sweeping up.
@briansullivan.1341 that’s a lie. His pieces are never intentionally under weight. And if he shorts you on weight, he’ll refund you without question. I’m speaking from experience.
@@ryanblanchard2508 it weights . but i dont care about the weight. i want them millsss baby!!! lllol. i still go to braden over anywhere.
Calipers wont be acurate when your doing it with one hand, use both your hands and also put on a flat surface, if easier measure where the clasps is and deduct 1mm, you weren't using your tool right (pause) lol... ☝️🤟✌️
Before video I did it on my kitchen table these are same results. I'm familiar with calipers. Appreciate your advise have a blessed one 🙏
@ubercajun did you know his francos come in .5 mm over? I have a 4mm 22k rope, and 5mm 22k franco and yea my ropes 3.5mm and francos 5.5mm. Guess if the weights right who cares
@beezeal2042 yes my 18kt necklace is only .2 under 3mm the bracelet was way smaller than the up to .5mm difference it probably came from shop that way. It's mass production so I'm sure quality control varies. It's mostly the weight. As long as that is there that's the main thing. Mabe the next batch he orders will be closer to the quote. Other than that's ill have to go up in size for the presence I wanted. I feel he should measure them when they get in and update what the mm are so you done have to wonder. That would be easier since we can't go shop there in person and see it. Also if someone doesn't use calipers how will they know if they are under or not.
@@ubercajun have you measured the rope bracelet at the end caps or just the twists in the rope?
Yes but I don't remember what they where
Weight is the main thing. Gold in Value by purity and weight.
Ethan thank you for a great honest video! I truly understand that when we purchase a piece of jewelry online without seeing it, we truly are looking for a certain style and thickness. This rope style chain varies a lot as far as thickness. I truly agree that it should be advertised for what it actually is. Perhaps a different style of chain might be more accurate to the width you would like. Great video!!
Totally agree with reyrodriguez' comment. I am curious as to what you paid per gram for that 19.44 gram bracelet. I've actually considered a purchase from Jacoje. Awesome video, thanks for sharing.
It weighted about 76 per gram roughly if I remember correct
Give us an update on what happened 🎉
Returned but I paid for the shipping back
His customer service has dropped off a cliff recently i have noticed as well.
Yeah thats the vibe I got. I'm greatful for the return but it just seemed like he doesn't care that his product isn't lining up.
@@ubercajun i have bought several things from him and i asked him when a product getting restocked and he didnt answer for months . And just overall communication is down
He replies to me fast when I email him a question about a piece of jewelry
Same for me but seems like after purchase he doesn't conduct himself the same way he used to
Same thing happened to me man i purchased a 18KT 5mm rope bracelet as well and it always seemed way smaller than 5mm. I finally purchased a caliper found it was measuring around 3.8-4.1 the weight was right but the size was not .
Yeah its starting to seem common I wonder if he just doesn't care.
Same thing happened to the guy "tried truth" jacoje is shady af! His prices are way too high and his quality isnt better than hawaii rope chains (who also has the same dealer but way better prices)
I will do more research thanks for the comment!
Ok you realize tried truth has over 40k spent with Braden right?? So he's obviously satisfied and just a heads up with ropes you have to have 2 hands and a really flat surface to get a good reading with the calipers since ropes aren't a uniform shape.
@kalani4ever359 “shady af” is a bit of an exaggeration there chief. Also, HRC was getting ropes from LA because he couldn’t get the Peruvian ropes and the difference in quality was noticeable. That’s why he has better prices. I purchased a 50 gram 22k rope chain from Jacoje for $3,000 after a 10% discount. That’s $60 per gram for 22k. HRC isn’t beating that price. 💯
@@ryanblanchard2508is HRC still getting them from LA
Are you sure the calipers are calibrated? Also if you squeeze the calipers on the chain harder in some areas you will get different measurements because you are compressing the links closer together. The rope chains are made of multiple small pieces. I don’t think they bracelet is that much smaller than advertised like you are making it out to be.
It also looks like you aren’t measuring from the thickest part of the chain.
Calibrated and measuring at multiple different areas to make sure I got a rough average
Just wondering why you didn’t get the rope chain in 22kt as well?
I bought the rope chain like 4+ years ago it was before he was offering them in 22kt I still love my 18kt.
Man that 22k makes me want to replace all my 18kt which is all I wear. 😢 It’s beautiful. Do you still like 18kt? Can you tell if the 22kt is softer?
The 22kt def is a deeper yellow when side by side but it didn't feel that much more delicate. It felt solid. As long as you don't abuse it it will be fine.
@@ubercajun gotcha.. are u going to convert to all 22kt now?
Mostly but might still get some 18k also but no less than 18k but I think I prefer 22-24kt gold jewlery 18kt I think is good for anything with gemstones or diamonds
Once you go 22kt, it's hard to go back to 18kt. Haha. I'm in Kuwait where 98% of the gold here is 22kt.
I love both grab 22 if you can but nothing wrong with 18k if anything 18k better for daily wear
Same thing happened to Me I bought the 6.5 yacht link it’s actually a 6mm. I decided to keep it because I like the chain but wish I was aware of the difference. And it’s not stated on the website that the Yacht link will possibly be off up to .5 mm
That is weird as you saw in my video my rope chain is accurate but not the bracelet
@@ubercajun yea that is really weird. The gram weight was accurate for me as well so you get what you pay for. Jacoje offered me a return his customer service is good. It would just be nice to know that the chains could be off by that much.
@Robbyc783 My 6.5mm yacht link is also 6mm. Not even close to 6.5. The gram weight is correct and as advertised. I kinda wish the chain had the 18k flash plating, it’s pretty light in color.
@@shortdog7024 ya mine is exactly 6mm and I agree with the color it’s deff a pretty dull yellow color. I was offered a refund which thinking back I wish I took it. It would just be nice if he would address this issue
Good Honest Review Man!
Thanks that's what I'm about. Can't be spreading lies. Just non biased reviews.
The weight is all that matters tbh...its actually better if is thinner than advertised because that means that this chain was made with more twists. Therefore is stronger than other ropes with the same weight of gold. But i get your point, youre looking for presence as well. I think the 6mm would actually be the look youre going for. It will be around 5.4 mm.
I agree I never will buy hollow or semi hollow. And jacoje is fine jewlery I will probably try the 6mm when he gets in. You make a good point about being tougher the way its made and I like that. But personal opinion and mabe I'm wrong but do you think the mm should be updated if they are alot thinner than quoted?
@@ubercajun youre not wrong, im sure that kind of disappointed you. But this is a common problem with ropes thats why sometimes youre gonna see some suppliers selling 2. 7mm, 2.8mm 2.9 mm on this style. The problem here is that they go based on weight. So they were all ment to be 3mm but they came out too far away from the standard 3mm. Due to that they will not advertise it as 3mm weight. It happens often, but shit the weight and your money is there on that bracelet and at the end thats what counts the most.
@memolocs01 I did d not know that. That's wild that's how it works. I will say like always his stuff is heavy and quality is solid and you def have your money. I just wish I guess it was a little more accurate when advertised but this will not deter me from future buys I'm still a fan.
@ubercajun I agree they should be advertised as 4.5 if they’re coming in closer to 4mm. I purchased a 5mm 22 inch 22k rope chain and it’s definitely 4mm but the weight is correct. Also grabbed a 6mm 7.5 inch 22k rope bracelet and that’s 5mm. Again, the weight is correct. Just recently bought a 3mm 22 inch 22k franco chain and that is spot on, maybe even 3.2mm and the weight is on point. Seems like the ropes are always gonna come in at least a half millimeter smaller than advertised but typically closer to a full millimeter under what’s stated. Considering what I paid for beautiful, solid 22k pieces, I’m not gonna complain.
