Parliment then confirmed this in 1908 by declaring that the Union Jack can be flown on land by any citizen of the union. Furthermore, the Flag Institute and Flag & Heraldry Committee confirmed in 2014 that both Union Jack and Union Flag are correct terminology for the union pattern, regardless of where it's flown. Stop parroting information you've heard on social media and research it before you make yourself look even more foolish.
